Installation in unit
Connectorization
The remote control interface communicates with external equipment via the appropriate connector(s). Some units
may need a custom cable to operate properly. Please review the “Physical Connections” and the “Pin Out
Assignments” chapter of the units user manual to determine the correct connectorization and installation of cables
and connectors before proceeding into this chapter on the following pages.
For systems with more than one unit, the units are connected together through the unoccupied D-SUB (if available).
It is regardless which one is used, but normally COM-1 is connected to another unit, and COM-2 is connected to the
external PC.
Address
A units address is set by a 5-bit dipswitch (red) on the backside of the unit (own page in this manual describes its
location). Only bits 1-4 are currently in use. The position of bit 5 has no effect.Address is adjusted according to the
following table:
