5. Drilling the crossbars
Place the ‘Y’ bracket between the cut crossbars.
Mark the location of the top square holes of the ‘Y’ bracket onto the crossbars. For best results use a
pencil or marker and trace the outline of the square holes onto the rail.
With a pencil or marker, draw lines from corner to corner on square outlined on the rail.
For best results, use a center punch to mark the intersection of the two lines before drilling.
Carefully drill (4) 3/8” holes straight down through the crossbars.
Repeat for other side.
