quality light switches come in different designs, colors, wiring configurations and sizes to fit
your home’s specific needs. When used with the HomeRemote Device Linking feature, a
Wireless Light Switch can be linked not only to control your pre-wired home lighting, but also
any other Z-Wave enabled device in your home, such as a lamp in another location. Installation
of a Wireless Light Switch is just like any other light switch. Simply turn off the power going
into your home from an outside breaker box, remove the original light switch, install the Z-Wave
light switch and restore the power to your home. (Note: If you are unfamiliar with installing
light switches, it is highly recommended you do not do this without support from a certified
electrician) After the unit has been installed use your HomeRemote Handheld Remote Control
to Include the switch into your network by pressing the ‘Program’ button on the light switch
(usually just the ON/OFF toggle of the light switch) together with the ‘Include’ button on your
remote control.
Wireless Plug-In Lamp Modules – Wireless Plug-In Lamp Modules give you convenient
control your existing plug-in lamps and plug-in lights. To install them, simply plug the Lamp
module into an available power outlet and plug the power cord from your lamp into the outlet on
the Lamp Module. Use the ‘Program’ on the Lamp Module to ‘Include’ the module into your
network. Most Plug-In Lamp Modules can support dimming of your lights as well.
Wireless Outdoor Lighting Module – The Outdoor Light Module is similar to the Plug-in
Lamp Modules except that they are designed for use with your plug-in outdoor lights. Outdoor
Light Modules are typically used with Christmas lights, floor lighting, outdoor lamps and any
other outdoor electrical appliance. They have weather proof enclosures made to withstand
outdoor conditions. Installation and setup is the same as with the Lamp Modules. Simply plug
them into an available power outlet, plug in your outdoor lights to the outlet on the Outdoor
Lighting Module, then use the ‘Program’ button on the module to ‘Include’ it into your network.
Outdoor Lighting Modules typically do not support the dimming feature.

for controlling radios, kitchen appliances, irons and any other appliance that you would want
remote control of. Installation and setup is as simple as plugging the module into an available
power outlet and plugging your electrical appliance into an the available power outlet on the
Electrical Appliance Power Module. The ‘Program’ button should be located somewhere on the
outside of the enclosure.
Power Outlet – Z-Wave enabled Power Outlets function similarly to Electrical Appliance Power
Modules however they provide a look that you are accustomed to in your home. Z-wave power
outlets replace your current in home power outlets for instant control using your HomeRemote
remote control, web browser interface or cell phone. Installation of a Power Outlet is similar to a
Wall Switch. You will need to first turn off the power coming into your home to avoid electrical
shock. Remove the existing power outlet from the wall. Install the Z-Wave enabled Power
