Outlet and use the ‘Program’ button located in the middle of the outlet to ‘Include’ it into your
network. Z-Wave Power Outlets are typically used to control any electrical appliance or plug in
lamp.
14.3 - Climate Control
Thermostat – Remotely control your home temperature and climate with Z-Wave enabled
Wireless Thermostats. The HomeRemote System, when used with a Z-Wave thermostat, gives
you the ability to control your home temperature before you leave your work, or heat up your
home from your bed using your cell phone. Installation of Z-Wave Thermostats is just like
installing a standard thermostat. It is recommended that you carefully read the instructions
included with your Z-Wave Thermostat before installing. The ‘Program’ button on Z-Wave
thermostats is usually a button on the thermostat such as the ‘Hold’ button. However you should
check your user’s manual to be sure. Include the thermostat into your network works like any
other device. Use your HomeRemote Remote Control next to the thermostat; push the ‘Include’
button on the remote then the ‘Program’ button on the thermostat.
14.4 - Window Shades
Window Shades – Z-Wave enabled Window Shade motors allow for control of custom made
window shades using your Handheld Remote Control, the HomeRemote Web Interface or your
cell phone. Imagine controlling ambient daylight in your home as easily as you can control your
electrical lights. Installation of Z-Wave enabled Window Shades is normally done by dealers
specialized in custom window shades. The ‘Program’ button is normally located on the receiver
module of the motor.
14.5 - Security
Motion Detector – Z-Wave enabled Wireless PIR (Motion) Sensors allow for remote scene
control based on detected motion. When paired with a Motion Detector the HomeRemote
System is capable of notifying you when motion is detected within a room trigger devices to turn
on when motion is detected or sound an alarm. Motion Detectors can be set as Master Devices
for linking the activation of other modules using the Device Linking feature. Installation of Z-
Wave Wireless Motion Sensors is plug-and-play. The ‘Program’ button is normally on the back
of the unit.

Camera gives you access to live video from anywhere in the world via your cell phone or web
browser. Record playback or view live video using the included management software and
utilities. The Hawking HomeRemote Wireless Video Cameras integrate seamlessly with the
HomeRemote System. Installation is simplified with a step-by-step Setup Wizard.
