Question: What do I do if I change cellular service providers?
Answer: Go to the “My Phones” tab to add your new phone to your subscription and remove the old one.
If you change cellular carriers, you may not be able to carry-over your Cell-Link subscription if the new
carrier is not compatible
Question: What do I do if I change my phone number?
Answer: If your phone number changes then you must download the Cell-Link software to your phone
again to update our records and allow your new phone number to be recognized by our system. You must
also change your primary mobile phone number in the ‘My Account’ section of the Cell-Link Customer
Portal. . Go to the “My Phones” tab to add your new phone to your subscription and remove the old one.
Question: I lost my phone. How do I disable Cell-Link on my old phone?
Answer: Log into the Customer Portal at www.cell-link.homeremote.net, select the “My Phones” tab.
Select “Remove This Phone” in the information box for the phone you want to remove.
Question: What do I do if I get a new phone?
Answer: If you get a new phone then you must download the Cell-Link software to your new phone and
get a new activation code through the Customer Portal to allow your new phone to control and monitor
your home automation system. Go to the “My Phones” tab to add your new phone to your subscription
and remove the old one.
Question: Do I need a special cell phone to make Cell-Link work?
Answer: Cell-Link works with most modern cell phones that are capable of connecting to the internet.
Most phones with color displays have this capability, but it depends on the make and model of your phone
as well as your cellular carrier. Most cellular carriers have this information available through their
website. You may also test your phone’s compatibility by downloading the Cell-Link demo and selecting
Test Connection from the Menu.
Question: Can more than one phone control my home? How do I add another phone to my Cell-Link
system?
Answer: Multiple phones can control one home automation system! Login to the Cell-Link Customer
Portal to add another phone to your Cell-Link account. Select the “My Phones” tab and “Add Phone” to
add a phone. Follow the steps in the wizard to complete the addition.
