3.7.1 Disinfect
a)
Ensure gloves are worn.
b)
Remove used foam cylinders from the Headset.
c)
Ensure charging port cover is closed (see Figure 2-1 C, page 9).
d)
With a disinfectant wipe (for example, Caviwipes), wipe all surfaces of the Headset to remove visible
soil for a minimum of 1 minute. Pay extra attention to the seams, crevices and gaps of the Headset, by
cleaning these with the following method:
• Place a cotton swab on a disinfectant wipe and fold the wipe down around the swab, as
displayed in below.
• Using the cotton swab wrapped in the disinfectant wipe, wipe the seams, crevices and gaps
of the Headset and the following CRITICAL AREAs:
- Underside of the USB Port Cover and pay particular attention to the inner edges as
seen below.
- Inside of each Electrode Frustum – create full circular motions with the cotton swab
inside each frustum.
- Inside crevice of the Visor Cushion, identified in red in the figure below.
