Installation
NOTE: Grab bar must be placed on a smooth, non-porous
surface. If placed over cracks or on grout between tiles, the
grab bar will not be stable, and you may get a false reading on
the Indicator.
1. Thoroughly clean and dry the suction cups and surface
where the suction cups will be attached.
Occasionally clean both suction cups and attachment
surface as needed.
2. Release the suction cups by ipping the latches on the
grab bar so they are in the upright position.
3. Firmly push the suction cups against the surface to remove
all excess air, Fig. 1.
4. Push the latches down and make sure the Indicators are
green.
NOTE: If the Indicator is red, Fig. 2, repeat steps 1-4 to reattach.
5. Always test grab bar suction before each use even though
both Indicators may still be green. Do not use the grab bar
to support your body weight; it is only for balance
assistance.
Removal:
1. Flip both latches up.
2. Pull the vinyl tabs on the side of each suction cup to
release the suction, Fig. 3. You may also slide the grip to
the edge of the surface to break the suction.
