6.11 Manipulating Contours
Trimming – Linear element
With this function you change the length of a linear element. The
starting point of the contour element remains unchanged.
 Closed contours: The manipulated element is recalculated and the
position of the subsequent element is adapted.
 Open contours: The manipulated element is recalculated and the
subsequent contour train is shifted.
Change the length of a linear element:
U Select “Manipulate > Trimming > Length element” in
the finished part menu.
U Select the element you want to change. TURN PLUS
opens the “Change line length” dialog box.
U Enter the new length or
U Enter the new end point in X or
U Enter the new end point in Z.
U Choose the required setting in the “Successor” input
box (with/without angle change).
U TURN PLUS integrates the changes and depicts the
manipulated contour. You can apply (“Confirm” soft
key) or cancel (ESC key) the changes.
Parameters
L Length of the modified linear element
X End point of the modified linear element
Z End point of the modified linear element
Successor:
 Change angle to following element
 Do not change angle to following element
