6.12 Assigning Attributes
Machining attributes – Area milling
The attribute defines the area milling operation and the associated
machining parameters for the selected figure or for a “free” closed
contour.
Assign the “Area milling” machining attribute:
U Select “Attribute > Machining attribute > Mill > Area milling” in the
finished part menu.
U Select the contour to be milled. TURN PLUS opens the “Area
milling” dialog box.
U Define the milling parameters.
Parameters
H Cutting direction
 0: Up-cut milling
 1: Climb milling
D Milling diameter for selecting suitable tool.
K Retraction plane. Cutter position before/after milling (lateral
surface: diameter).
