ADVANCED OPERATION
HEIDER PRO5 PMR 446
SQL (Squelch)
Squelch System allows you to turn down the background
noise while there is no incoming signal. Squelch systems
renders operation mode on ‘Stand-by’ more eicient and
reduces the current consumption of the battery significantly.
Adjust the level of squelch in accordance with the instructions
given below:
1. Push [MENU] button, rotate[CALL] button. Switch to MENU [03] SQL.
2. Thenpush[U/V]buttonandswitchtoSQL5levelfromthedefaultsettings.
3. Adjustamong0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9byrotating[CALL]buttonclockwiseorcounter
clockwise.(Defaultpushdownlevel)
4. Select the level at which the background noise disappears while there is no signal.
Push[U/V]buttontosavethesettings.
5. Push [MENU] or [PTT] buttons to EXIT to normal operation mode.
LIGHT (LCD Lighting ON/Button/OFF)
Heider PRO5 has a red lighting on its monitor for a comfortable
use at nights. Red lighting reduces the distortions at night visions
to a level of minimum while ensuring that your screen is clearly
visible in the dark. There are 3 options to activate night light:
Key : Enlightens the LCD when any button is pushed.
ON : Enlightens LCD continuously.
OFF : Deactivates LCD light.
