QUICK-START GUIDE 1 Remove the components from the box and ensure the contents are correct: • 1x Animus 18DT • 1x 1100mAh 6-cell NiMH battery pack • 1x 2.4GHz 2-channel transmitter • 1x 6-cell wall charger • 1x 4-way cross spanner • 1x 1.5mm Allen key • 2x shock spacers and antenna tube • 1x Quick Start Guide 2 Carefully remove the contents using side cutting pliers to cut the tie straps.

5 Slide the receiver aerial into the antenna tube then firmly push the tube into the mount that’s built into the receiver module. Use the 1.5mm Allen key to tighten the retaining grub screw and secure the antenna tube. 6 Re-insert the fully charged battery pack into the cradle and secure it with the retainer and body clips. Be sure to install the clips into the lowest possible holes of the battery mounting posts for the tightest fit.

QUICK-START GUIDE 10 Secure the body with the four clips. 11 Switch ON the transmitter and ensure the LED is lit solid green. This indicates that the batteries are supplying adequate voltage for proper operation. 12 Locate the switch and turn ON your Animus 18DT. In the unlikely event that the car does not operate, see the BINDING/ PAIRING instructions at the back of this guide. 13 Check the operation of the throttle and steering.

15 The steering dual rate (ST.D/R) dial is used to reduce the sensitivity of the steering control and is very useful for beginners who may initially have a tendency to oversteer the vehicle. A good starting point for this dial is position 3. Break-in Procedure IMPORTANT: To help increase the life and performance of the motor, it is recommended to drive the first battery pack at half throttle.

BINDING/PAIRING GUIDE 4 Press and hold the Bind button on the transmitter, move the switch to the ON position, then release the Bind button. 5 The green LED on the transmitter will flash slowly whilst the red LED on the receiver will change to flashing slowly, then turn off, then back on again. Switch the car OFF, followed by the transmitter. 6 Now switch the transmitter back ON, followed by the car. You should now have normal operation of throttle and steering.
