Reconnect the new water line to the
water pickup tube.
Connect a short tube to the speed
control and to the right side of the
brushless motor.
Connect the new water line to the 40A
brushless speed control.
Feed the other short tube through the
sideofthehullandconnecttothele
side of the brushless motor.
Connectthereceiverplugtothethrolechannelonthereceiverandyouarereadytogo.
Setting Failsafe
The Rivos comes with the receiver failsafe set to NONE. In the event of loss of signal the motor will
stopandtheboatwilldri.Ifthesignalisregainednormalfunconwillreturn.Ifyouwishtoprogram
thefailsafetoacustomsengjustfollowthesesimplesteps:
TheRivosspeedcontrolisequippedwithalowvoltagecuto(LVC)circuit.WhentheNiMhbaery
voltagedropsto5.6Vthespeedcontrolwillshutopowertothemotor.Motorfunconcanbe
restoredbycyclingthethroletriggeroandthenbackonatalowpowerseng.Youmustcease
operangtheboatandrechargethedrivebaery.Repeatedlyaempngtoconnueoperaonmay
dropthebaeryvoltagetodamaginglevels.
• WithboththetransmierandreceiverpoweredON,pressthebindbuononthereceiver
for about 3 seconds.
• ThereceiverwillenterthefailsafesengmenuandthereceiverLEDwillash.
• Youhaveabout3secondstomovethecontrolstotheposionthatyouwishtoprogram
into failsafe.
• Aerthe3secondsthereceiverwillsavethesengsandreturntonormalmode.
• Ifyouwishtoresettoadierentseng,simplyrepeattheabovesteps.
