5. Operating the receiver
a. Pre-programmed channels
The receiver has been pre-programmed by the factory with channels from the satellites Astra,
Hotbird and Türksat. Normally, therefore, a channel scan is not necessary for operation. You
can delete or shift these channels (see page 6 of this manual). If a factory reset is carried out,
the channels are returned to the original condition. If you use a satellite installation with more
than one satellite antenna or reception converter (LNB), you may be required to alter the
DiSEqC switch signal for the individual satellites. This is described on page 8 of this manual.
The factory has pre-programmed the satellites as follows with the DiSEqC switch signal.
Astra: DiSEqC Signal A
Hotbird: DiSEqC Signal B
Türksat: without DiSEqC Signal
It is recommendable to delete channels on the satellites which your sat. antenna cannot receive.
Then, the channels from these satellites will no longer be displayed on the list. Deleting
channels is described on page 6.
After you have made all the necessary cable connections, switch on the receiver with the main
switch on the rear panel.
b. Setting the language of the menu
The manufacturer has set the receiver in the English language. You can change the language of
the screen display at any time.
Press the MENU key on the remote
control.
You will be shown the English display on
the right. Using the keys, choose the
menu point USER PREFERENCE and
confirm with OK.
You now see the display on your right. Use
the keys to choose the menu point
OSD CONTROL, confirm with OK and
use the keys to choose the desired
language.
Press the MENU key to leave the screen
