TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
DESCRIPTION
• A multi-purpose, extremely durable polyurethane sealant. Excellent
lead substitute for caulking cast iron soil pipe joints. Oakum must be
used for this application. Single component polyurethane sealant that
cures rapidly to a rm yet exible, waterproof and weather resistant
seal. Multi-purpose repair product can also be used for caulking the
perimeters of frame openings, ductwork, wood or masonry expansion
joints and for glazing both inside and out. Many uses in the home,
construction, automotive, RV and marine environments. Odorless
sealant is crack-proof, shrink-proof and will not produce any fumes while
curing. Has excellent adhesion properties to most common substrates
such as plastic, wood, cast iron, masonry, most metals, tile, concrete,
glass, aluminum, vitreous china and porcelain. When thoroughly dried,
withstands great pressure. Air dries. Multiple thin layers set faster than a
single thick layer. Does not contain any volatile organic compounds (0%
VOC) or toluene diisocyanate (TDI).
APPROVALS AND LISTINGS
• Meets Federal specication TT-S-00230C, Type II, Class A; ASTM
C920 Type S, Grade NS, Class 25 USDA Authorized for use in
federally inspected poultry plants.
APPLICATION / USES
• Use multi-purpose Plastic Seal to seal soil pipes and ductwork,
repair and caulk interior and exterior perimeters of frame openings
and expansion joints and for glazing. Useful in building construction,
automotive, RV and marine applications.
• Adheres to cast iron, masonry, wood, concrete, stone, metals, plastic,
glass, aluminum, tile, vitreous china and porcelain.

PRECAUTIONS

• Contains polyurethane diisocyanate resin (non-TDI). Avoid contact with skin;
wash with soap and water after use.
DIRECTIONS
To preserve material remaining in cartridge, save the cut off tip. After use,
insert the tip, point rst, into the open end of the spout. Over prolonged period
additional material in spout may cure, requiring cutting larger spout opening
and removal of cured material.
DIRECTIONS FOR SEALING SOIL PIPE JOINTS
1. After placing the pipe into the bell, apply a single stran of oakum
around the pipe in a clockwise manner and tamp rmly to the bottom
of the bell.
2. Repeat this step until oakum is rmly tamped to within ½” to ¼” of top
of bell (hub) rim.
3. Tamp and spread the Plastic Seal into the open void of the bell and
smooth to be level with top of the bell.
4. Alow 4 to 6 hours to cure before putting the drain into service.
5. On horizontal applications, make sure to properly support the pipe on
both sides of the bell.
FOR CRACKS, SEAMS OR JOINTS: Wipe surface clean. Apply a bead of
Plastic Seal into crevices or on mating surfaces before joining.
FOR BROKEN PARTS: Use Hercules Pro Poxy 20 or Plastic Poxy.
