UL CLASSIFIED FM APPROVED ASTM E814 (UL1479) Meets Class A finish
requirements for Flame Spread and Smoke Development when tested in
accordance with ASTM E84 (UL723). ASTM E90: Acoustically tested,
demonstrating excellent sound attenuation properties.
SPECIFIC USES
Common penetrations in light commercial and grouped residential construction. Penetrant
types include insulated and non-insulated metallic pipes and tubes, non-metallic pipes and
tubes, and common electrical service and power distribution, telephone, data, and TV cabling.
Hercules plumbers firestop sealant is latex-based and
intended for multi-purpose use. This intumescent sealant
provides up to a three hour fire rating and is designed for a
wide array of firestop applications in small commercial or
grouped residential construction or other structures with similar
characteristics. Can be used in systems where dynamic
movement is expected: plumbing; HVAC; bath and dryer
vents; metallic pipes; non-metallic pipes, conduits and tubing;
insulated pipes; electrical and electronic cabling; concrete,
gypsum, metal ductwork; wood floors. Expands up to 10 times
to block flame propagation. Excellent smoke seal. Water-
based for easy cleanup. Water-resistant once cured; will not
separate or shrink when dry. Tested for excellent acoustical
performance; reduces noise transmission. Flexible, non-
sagging, and low odor. Paintable. Low VOCs. No solvents. Non-
halogenated. Does not contain PCBs or asbestos.
