Warning: Always disconnect your unit from power supply before performing any cleaning or maintenance.
The following steps are recommended to prepare your evaporative cooler for storage in the offseason or if you do not plan
on using it for longer periods of time.
Drying Pads:
Immediately after use, it is recommended to thoroughly dry the media pads prior to putting unit in storage. This is easily
accomplished by running the unit for 20 minutes on high speed while the pump is in the off position.
For longer term storage, it is also recommended to drain water from tank. To drain water, unplug from power source and
move cooler to outdoor area where water will create damage. Locate plug on bottom of cooler and pull to drain the tank.
It may be necessary to tilt the cooler slightly towards the drain plug to remove all water.
Cleaning Cooler & Rigid Media Pads:
The removable panel(s) & pads can be gently sprayed off to remove build up. A soft bristle brush can also be used.
NEVER spray pads with water while cooler is in operation. Damage can occur to the motor and will void the warranty.
Note: Vinegar is recommended for cleaning of cooler and small amounts can be periodically cycled through during normal
use.
Removal Of Rigid Media:
Once back is removed, the media pads will be accessible. Note:
some pads may be held in place with pins (media keepers) which
will need to be removed to free up the pads.
It is also recommended to wipe tank dry with clean cloth while
the back panels are removed.
Accessories:
Genuine factory replacement pads, pumps and other common parts are available online. Protective covers are also
available to keep your evaporative cooler free of dust, dirt, fading from the sun and various other elements.
