SAFETY DEFINITIONS (continued) NOTICE This product contains blown foam insulation using blowing agent R-611 (Methyl Formate). The foam in this product does not contain HFC’s, CFC’s, or HCFC’s. All models covered in this manual are manufactured using refrigerant R600a (Isobutane). R600a is a hydrocarbon.
RATING LABEL The rating label contains important information about your Hestan appliance such as the model and serial number, and refrigerant information if service is required. EN RATING LABEL The rating label is attached to the inside top of the cabinet. REGULATORY / CODE REQUIREMENTS Installation of this appliance must be made in accordance with local codes. In the absence of local codes, this unit should be installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local codes.
PRECAUTIONS - BEFORE YOU USE YOUR APPLIANCE (continued) PRIOR TO INSTALLATION PLEASE CONSULT THE INSTALLATION MANUAL PROVIDED. Carefully inspect appliance for hidden damage. If damage is discovered, file your claim immediately with the transport company. Hestan is not responsible for damage in transit. Remove any packaging materials before operating. OPERATION MASTER SWITCH Hestan refrigeration products come equipped with a master power switch located behind the louvered toe kick. Remove the toe kick/grille to turn power on or off to the unit. EN INTERIOR LIGHT Door units are equipped with an interior light that illuminate when the door is opened. All models come standard with adjustable blue and white LED lighting. The cabinet also comes equipped with a manual light switch for displaying the products through a glass door.
DIGITAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL (continued) Setpoint Display: Press and release the SET button; display will read St1. Press SET again and the LOWER compartment setpoint will be displayed. Press SET again; the display will read St2. Press SET again and the UPPER compartment temperature will be displayed. EN Changing the Lower Compartment Temperature: 1. Press and hold the SET button until the display shows St1 with “F” flashing. 2.
DIGITAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL (continued) To Change Setpoint Temperature 1. Press and hold the SET button until the display shows the current setpoint temperature with the “F” flashing. 2. Use the UP and DOWN arrow button to scroll to the desired temperature. EN To Start A Manual Defrost (Freezer Models Only) Press the DEFROST button (melting snowflake) To See Maximum Stored Temperature Press the UP arrow button to see the maximum stored temperature.
MAINTENANCE SEASONAL MAINTENANCE FOR UL-APPROVED OUTDOOR MODELS WINTERIZING EN This process should occur when the daily low temperatures is at or below the temperatures stated below: Refrigerator models: 38°F [+3°C] Beverage Center/Beer: 42°F [+6°C] Freezer models: 32°F [0°C] Wine Reserve: 45°F [+7°C] It is best to winterize your unit before the low temperatures listed above. 1. Turn the unit to OFF position by pressing the OFF button on the controller.
CLEANING STAINLESS STEEL CARE Stainless Steel is widely used for catering and residential kitchen equipment because of its strength, its ability to resist corrosion, and its ease of cleaning. Unfortunately, the metal is often taken for granted and it is assumed that no problems will arise during its usage. However, some care is required to ensure a long service life of the appliance.
CLEANING (continued) Cleaning the Condenser The condenser (located behind the front grille cover) should be cleaned every three (3) months. Use a soft bristle brush and vacuum to remove dust and lint. EN DANGER FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANT - RISK OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION. Do not damage the refrigeration tubes. Avoid damaging or crushing the condenser fins or tubing. CARE OF PAINTED SURFACES (IF APPLICABLE) Hestan appliances are available in standard stainless steel, or 11 Hestan signature color finish options.
CLEANING (continued) Recommended Cleaners for Specific Situations Job Cleaning Agent Comments Routine cleaning. Soap, ammonia, detergent Apply with sponge or soft cloth Fingerprints and smears. Stubborn stains and discolorations.
TROUBLESHOOTING If the unit appears to be malfunctioning, read through the OPERATION section of this manual first. If the problem persists, check this troubleshooting section to see if you can refer to the cause and remedy of the problem and resolve it without a service call. EN Never attempt to repair or perform maintenance on the unit until the main electrical power has been disconnected! DANGER RISK OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION - FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANT USED.
TROUBLESHOOTING (continued) Problem Compartments are warmer than usual. Cause Control preset is set too warm. Lower the setpoint temperature. Refer to changing the set point for the specific model. Light is staying on. Turn manual light switch off. Condenser is dirty or obstructed. Clean the condenser and clear obstruction. The door is open or has been opened more frequently lately. Wait 24 hours and recheck the temperature. Internal louvers and/or the fan guard is obstructed.
LIMITED WARRANTY WARRANTY Hestan Commercial Corporation (“Hestan”) warrants to the original retail purchaser that during the Basic Warranty Period, Hestan’s products will be free from defects in material and workmanship, and during the Extended Warranty Period, the hermetically sealed refrigeration system contained in Hestan’s undercounter refrigerator will be free from defects in material and workmanship.
LIMITED WARRANTY (continued) • Cosmetic damage. • Adjustments to controls, door reversal, cleaning the condenser or other routine maintenance. EN • Products for which the original proof of purchase, delivery date or serial number cannot be verified. • Products for which the defective parts are not returned for inspection if requested by Hestan. • Damage to other property caused by the products, including but not limited to loss of food due to spoilage and damage caused by water leakage.

UTILISATION INTERRUPTEUR GÉNÉRAL Les produits de réfrigération Hestan sont équipés d’un interrupteur d’alimentation général situé derrière la plinthe à grilles de transfert. Retirez la plinthe/grille pour allumer ou éteindre l’unité. ÉCLAIRAGE INTÉRIEUR Les unités à porte sont équipées d’une lumière intérieure qui s’allume lorsque la porte est ouverte. Tous les modèles sont dotés en standard d’un éclairage LED réglable bleu et blanc.
RÉGULATEUR NUMÉRIQUE DE TEMPÉRATURE (suite) Affichage de la consigne: Appuyez, puis relâchez le bouton SET (consigne); St1 s’affichera. RÉGULATEUR NUMÉRIQUE DE TEMPÉRATURE (suite) Pour changer la Température de Consigne 1. Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le bouton SET (consigne) jusqu’à ce que l’écran affiche la température de consigne actuelle avec un « F » clignotant. 2. Utilisez le bouton flèche HAUT et BAS pour atteindre la température désirée. ENTRETIEN ENTRETIEN SAISONNIER POUR LES MODÈLES EXTÉRIEURS HOMOLOGUÉS UL HIVERNAGE Ce processus doit avoir lieu lorsque les basses températures quotidiennes sont égales ou inférieures aux températures indiquées ci-dessous: Modèles de réfrigérateur: 38°F [+3°C] Centre de boissons/biere: 42°F [+6°C] Modèles de congélateur: 32°F [0°C] Réserve de vin: 45°F [+7°C] Il est préférable d’hivériser votre unité avant les basses températures indiquées ci-dessus. 1.
NETTOYAGE ENTRETIEN DE L’ACIER INOXYDABLE L’acier inoxydable est couramment utilisé dans les appareils des cuisines de restaurants et de résidences à cause de sa robustesse, de sa capacité de résistance à la corrosion et de sa facilité de nettoyage. Ces caractéristiques du métal sont malheureusement tenues pour acquises et on présume qu’aucun problème n’apparaîtra en cours de service. Un certain soin est toutefois nécessaire pour garantir une longue durée de service de l’appareil.
NETTOYAGE (suite) Pour nettoyer les surfaces et les pièces amovibles nonmétalliques intérieures et extérieures, lavez avec une solution douce d’eau tiède et du savon avec un peu de bicarbonate de soude. Rincez et séchez soigneusement. Évitez de projeter de l’eau sur les ampoules, les commandes, les moteurs des ventilateurs et les façades en bois inachevé du casier à vin. Nettoyage du condenseur Le condenseur (situé derrière le couvercle de la grille avant) doit être nettoyé tous les trois (3) mois.
