To run programmes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10select the required standard program and then press the quick time option button After using the above tables to choose the most suitable washing cycle, program the appliance. Before starting a washing program, make sure that: • The water supply tap is open. • The correct amount of detergent has been added to the dispenser (to add detergent, see the instructions on page 22).
FEATURES AND CONTROLS (continued) END OF WASH CYCLE The end of the program is signaled by a short beep. Additionally the indicator light of the normal and strong wash programs (marked “end” ) will flash. END OF CYCLE LED PROJECTION INDICATOR PROGRAM IN PROGRESS INDICATOR LIGHT When a program is running, a flashing light is projected onto the floor - un der the right-hand corner of the door. At the end of the program, the light goes out to reduce sleep mode electricity consumption.
FEATURES AND CONTROLS (continued) HALF LOAD Suitable when there are not many dishes to be washed, it saves energy and reduces the program duration. Place dishes in both baskets then load the detergent dispenser (see page 23) less than the normal amount for a full load. EN ENERGY SAVER This option can be selected with the wash cycle of choice to further reduce energy consumption. Drying is aided by a special device that automatically releases the door, which opens slowly and smoothly by about an inch.
FEATURES AND CONTROLS (continued) ADJUSTING THE WATER SOFTENING SYSTEM The dishwasher is equipped with a device which allows the softener setting to be varied to suit the hardness of the main water. The hardness is set using the GRAM SELECTION BUTTON. To access the setting function, hold the SELECT button down for 15 seconds. The WATER HARDNESS ADJUSTMENT INDICATOR LIGHT ashes, while the SELECTED PROGRAM INDICATOR LIGHTS show the current setting.

FEATURES AND CONTROLS USING THE RINSE-AID AND DETERGENT DISPENSERS EN The detergent and rinse-aid dispensers are located on the inside of the door The detergent dispenser is on the left and the rinse-aid dispenser is on the right. THE RINSE-AID, ON THE OTHER HAND, SHOULD ONLY BE ADDED AS REQUIRED.
FEATURES AND CONTROLS (continued) ADJUSTING THE RINSE-AID DISPENSER SETTING The rinse-aid dispenser can be set to one of 6 different levels. The dishwasher is factory set for medium water hardness (selector set to “3”). To change the setting, turn the dispenser selector (see previous page) to the desired position: the amount of rinse-aid dispensed is proportional to the position of this selector.
FEATURES AND CONTROLS ADDING DETERGENT (continued) EN Extra detergent cavity Push to close cover • When a program with hot prewash is selected , extra detergent must be placed in the cavity • Only use dishwasher-speci c detergents. For optimal washing results it is important to use a good quality detergent. • The detergent packs must be sealed and stored in a dry place to prevent the for mation of lumps which may negatively affect washing results.
FEATURES AND CONTROLS (continued) GENERAL WARNING AND RECOMMENDATIONS EN Before using the dishwasher for the rst time, it is advisable to read the following recommendations concerning dish types to be washed and their loading. There are generally n o constraints on t he w ashing of domestic d ishes, but i n certain cases it is necessary to take their characteristics into account. Before loading the dishes into the racks it is necessary to: • remove coarse food remains such as bones, sh bones, etc...
FEATURES AND CONTROLS USING THE RACKS The dishwasher has a capacity of 13 place-settings, including serving dishes. An example of loading 13 place-settings in the upper and lower racks is shown below. EN Upper rack Lower rack LOWER RACK The lower basket receives the full force of the lower spray arm, and should therefore be used for the toughest items with a heavier degree of soiling.
FEATURES AND CONTROLS (continued) GENERAL WARNING AND RECOMMENDATIONS EN Support for cups and long objects (ladles, spoons, etc.), in the rear; can be tipped to the vertical position when not use. Glass holder. Support for long-stem glasses. When lifted out of the stowed position (0) it snaps into three different positions (1-2-3). 2-position fold-down supports (1-2).
FEATURES AND CONTROLS LOADING THE LOWER RACK EN Carefully load at plates, soup plates, dessert and serving dishes, positioning them vertically. Pots, pans and their covers must be loaded upside down. When loading soup plates and dessert bowls, be sure to leave a gap between them. Loading examples: CUTLERY BASKET The basket h as a removable top grids i nto which items of c utlery s hould be inserted to keep them properly spaced and allow water to pass between them effectively.
FEATURES AND CONTROLS (continued) FLEXI DUO TOP RACK EN This comprises of two independent sliding, pull-out tray racks for easier loading/unloading of cutlery. Various loading systems and con gurations are possible. For example, tea cups can be loaded with the right-hand rack set in the low position, while the left-hand rack or both can be removed to allow large dishes to be put in the top basket.
FEATURES AND CONTROLS UPPER RACK EN The upper rack is equipped with some or all of the following accessories: - Supports for cups o r long objects (ladles, s poons…) on the left can b e tipped to the vertical position when not in use. - For the long-stemmed glass holder, on the left , simply lift and fix onto the hooks provided. - Cutlery racks, on the right are designed for knives and teaspoons. For teaspoons, pull out t he s liding support.
FEATURES AND CONTROLS (continued) ADJUSTING THE UPPER RACK EN The upper rack can set in three different positions on both sides. The rack must be level on both sides. To raise the rack, lift it with the two handles to the rst or second catch, depending on the height required. To lower the rack, pull up on the two release levers. This is also possible with the rack loaded, but in this case, when lowering the rack it should be held rmly to avoid hitting other items below it.
CLEANING AND USER MAINTENANCE (continued) CLEANING THE WATER INTAKE FILTER EN Clean the water inlet lter at regular intervals. After closing the delivery tap, unscrew the ring nut (A ) on the water inlet pipe (using a pair of pliers, if necessary) and and delicately clean the lter, removing deposits or impurities. Then rmly x the pipe by tightening the ring nut (use a pair of pliers if necessary).
CLEANING AND USER MAINTENANCE (continued) CLEANING THE FILTER • Periodically inspect the filter (A ) and, if necessary, clean it under running water (at room temperature), using a stiff brush.
CLEANING AND USER MAINTENANCE (continued) GENERAL WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CORRECT MAINTENANCE (continued) EN Prolonged disuse: • Run the soak program twice in succession. • Unplug the power cord from the socket. • Leave the door slightly opening order to prevent the formation of unpleasant odors inside the washing tank. • Fill the rinse-aid dispenser. • Shut off the water supply tap.
TROUBLESHOOTING MINOR PROBLEMS (continued) If there are visible traces of rust inside the tank/unit: • The tank is made of steel and therefore any rust marks are due to external elements (fragments of rust from the water supply, pots, cutlery, etc...) Special products are commercially available to remove such marks. • Check that the amount of detergent being used is correct. Certain detergents can be more corrosive than others.
INSTALLATION AND HOOK-UP (continued) CHECK THAT THE MAIN SUPPLY IN THE PLACE OF INSTALLATION COMPLIES WITH THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE IN THE COUNTRY OF USE, AND THAT IT IS CORRECTLY GROUNDED. EN THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE GROUNDED. IN CASE OF A MALFUNCTION OF FAULT, THE EARTH REDUCES THE RISK OF ELECTROCUTION BY PROVIDING THE ELECTRICAL CURRENT WITH AN ALTERNATIVE, LESS RESISTANT PATH. THIS APPLIANCE IS FITTED WITH A SUPPLY CORD CONTAINING AN EARTH WIRE AND PLUG.

CARACTÉRISTIQUES ET COMMANDES (a continué) DEMI-CHARGE Convient quand il n'y a pas beaucoup de plats à laver, il économise de l'énergie et réduit la durée du programme. Placer la vaisselle dans les deux paniers puis charger le distributeur de détergent (voir page 23) moins que la quantité normale pour une pleine charge. Pour lever la crémaillère, soulevez-la avec les deux poignées pour la première ou deuxième prise, en fonction de la hauteur requise. Pour abaisser le rack, relevez les deux boutons leviers.
NETTOYAGE ET MAINTENANCE DE L'UTILISATEUR (a continué) NETTOYAGE DU FILTRE D'ADMISSION D'EAU Nettoyez le ltre d'entrée d'eau à intervalles réguliers. Après avoir fermé le robinet de distribution, dévissez l'écrou annulaire (A) sur le tuyau d'entrée d'eau (en utilisant une paire de pinces, si nécessaire) et nettoyez délicatement le ltre, en éliminant les dépôts ou les impuretés. Ensuite, xez fermement le tuyau en serrant la bague (utilisez une paire de pinces si nécessaire).
