OPERATION (CONT.) PROGRAM RUN PROJECTION INDICATOR When a program is running, a flashing light is projected onto the floor under the right-hand corner of the door. EN • If the program is selected but not running, the light will be steady ON. At the end of the program, the light goes out. INTERRUPTING A WASH CYCLE To interrupt a wash cycle, open the dishwasher door.
OPERATION (CONT.) HALF LOAD Suitable when there are not many dishes to be washed, it saves energy and reduces the program duration. Place dishes in both baskets, then load the detergent dispenser (see “USING THE RINSE-AID AND DETERGENT DISPENSERS” on page 19) less than the normal amount for a full load. Press the Half Load button (item 10 on page 10) so the Half Load indicator illuminates (item 11, same page).
OPERATION (CONT.) REMOVING DISHES At the end of the wash cycle, wait 20 minutes before removing the dishes in order to allow them to cool. To prevent any water droplets falling onto dishes from the upper racks, empty the lower rack items first and then the upper items. EN ENERGY SAVING AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPECT • • • • • • Always try to run the dishwasher fully loaded. Do not pre-wash the dishes under running water. Use the most suitable washing program for each type of load. Do not pre-rinse.
OPERATION (CONT.) ADJUSTING THE WATER SOFTENING SYSTEM The dishwasher’s water softener can be adjusted to suit the hardness of the water it is supplied with. The hardness is set using the Select (program selection) button. EN The setting can be adjusted by holding the Select button down for 15 seconds until the ADD Salt indicator light flashes, while the Selected Program indicator lights to show the current hardness setting.
OPERATION (CONT.) USING THE WATER SOFTENING SYSTEM The minerals in typical hard water (water hardness index) can cause whitish staining on dishes, which will tend to become dull over time. The dishwasher is equipped with an automatic softening system which uses a special regenerating salt to reduce the hardness of the water. EN SETTING AND USAGE The dishwasher is factory set for medium water hardness (level H3).
OPERATION (CONT.) USING THE RINSE-AID AND DETERGENT DISPENSERS The detergent and rinse-aid dispensers are located on the inside of the door. The detergent dispenser is on the left and the rinse-aid dispenser is on the right. An external cavity on top of the main detergent dispenser is used to add extra detergent for some pre-wash cycles.
OPERATION (CONT.) ADJUSTING THE RINSE-AID DISPENSER SETTING The rinse-aid dispenser can be set to one of 6 different levels. The setting can be adjusted to suit the hardness of the water to prevent spotting / staining. The hardness is set using the Select (program selection) button. EN The setting can be adjusted by holding the Select button down for 20 seconds until the ADD Rinse-Aid indicator light flashes, while the Selected Program indicator lights to show the current hardness setting.
OPERATION (CONT.) ADDING DETERGENT EN DO NOT INHALE OR SWALLOW DETERGENT AS THIS MAY CAUSE BURNS AND/OR PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE NOSE, MOUTH AND THROAT, AND EVEN LEAD TO SUFFOCATION. KEEP DETERGENT AWAY FROM YOUR EYES. IF ONE OF THE ABOVE SITUATIONS OCCURS, SEEK MEDICAL ASSISTANCE IMMEDIATELY. PREVENT CHILDREN FROM COMING INTO CONTACT WITH DETERGENT. KEEP THEM AWAY FROM THE DISHWASHER WHEN THE DOOR IS OPEN AS IT MAY CONTAIN DETERGENT RESIDUES.
OPERATION (CONT.) • • EN • The market offers liquid, powder and tablet detergents with differing chemical compositions, which may contain phosphates, or be phosphate-free but contain natural enzymes. Detergents containing phosphates are more effective against grease and starch at temperatures above 140°F [60°C]. Enzyme detergents, on the other hand, are also effective at lower temperatures (from 104° to 131°F [40 to 55°C]) and are more easily biodegradable.
OPERATION (CONT.) • • Glass and crystal: in general, glass and crystal objects can be washed in the dishwasher. However, certain types of glass and crystal may become dull and lose their clearness after many washings. Therefore, for these items we recommend using the least aggressive program available (see Wash Cycles on pages 11-12).
OPERATION (CONT.) Anti-drip inserts which improve the drying of dishes. EN Support for cups and long objects (ladles, spoons, etc.), in the rear; can be tipped to the vertical position when not use. Glass holder: Support for long-stem glasses. When lifted out of the stowed position (0) it snaps into three different positions (1-2-3). 1 0 2 3 2-position fold-down supports (1-2).
OPERATION (CONT.) LOADING THE LOWER RACK Carefully load flat plates, soup plates, dessert and serving dishes, positioning them vertically. Pots, pans and their covers must be loaded upside down. When loading soup plates and dessert bowls, be sure to leave a gap between them. Loading examples: CUTLERY BASKET The basket is suitable for all types of cutlery, except long items that may interfere with the upper spray arm.
OPERATION (CONT.) FLEXI DUO TOP RACK This rack is comprised of two independent sliding, pull-out tray racks for easier loading/unloading of cutlery. Various loading systems and configurations are possible. For example, tea cups can be loaded with the right-hand rack set in the low position, while the left-hand rack or both can be removed to allow large dishes to be put in the top basket.
OPERATION (CONT.) UPPER RACK The upper rack is equipped with several folding racks and supports. The positions of each should be adjusted to fit the required load. EN FOLD-DOWN TINES These can be secured in a vertical position, resting on the bottom of the basket if unused, or placed in an intermediate position, as required. The single tine on the right is ideal for supporting long stemmed glasses. FOLD-DOWN SHELVES For mugs, cups and long objects. The ends are designed to hold long stemmed glasses.
OPERATION (CONT.) LOADING THE UPPER RACK Load plates facing forward - cups, bowls etc. must always be facing downwards. The left-hand side of the rack can be loaded with two layers of cups and glasses. The center can be filled with plates and small plates, fitted upright into the supports provided. EN Loading examples: ADJUSTING THE UPPER RACK The upper rack can set in three different positions on both sides. The rack must be level on both sides.
CLEANING AND USER MAINTENANCE GENERAL WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY WORK, ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE APPLIANCE FROM THE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY. EN NEVER USE ABRASIVE AND/OR CORROSIVE DETERGENTS TO CLEAN THE APPLIANCE. Clean the outer surfaces and door liner of the dishwasher regularly using a soft cloth moistened with a neutral detergent (non-abrasive and/or non-corrosive) suitable for painted surfaces. Clean the door gaskets with a damp sponge.
CLEANING AND USER MAINTENANCE (CONT.) LOWER SPRAY ARM C To remove the orbital spray arm assembly (C), take hold of the lower arm (D) and pull the orbital unit upward. EN After cleaning, place the orbital spray arm in its seat and push it down slightly until it clicks into place on the lower spray arm. Then place the lower spray arm into its seat and push it down slightly until it clicks into place. D CLEANING THE FILTER Periodically remove the filter assembly (A) to inspect it.
CLEANING AND USER MAINTENANCE (CONT.) GENERAL WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CORRECT MAINTENANCE The bottom filter screen can be also removed for cleaning. To remove the screen, first remove the filter assembly and the lower spray arm as instructed on previous pages. Then gently lift the lower screen out for cleaning. • • • • Clean the screen under running water (at room temperature) using a stiff brush. When removing the bottom screen, take care that there are no food residues on it.
CLEANING AND USER MAINTENANCE (CONT.) IF THE DOOR DOES NOT CLOSE 1. Check the position of the door lock catch (D). The catch must be adjusted to maintain a minimum gap from the tank, without touching it. 2. If the catch is too low, rotate the screw V counter-clockwise step by step, until at the minimum gap from the tank without touching it. 3. If the catch is too high, rotate the screw V clockwise step by step, until at the minimum gap from the tank without touching it. EN 4.
TROUBLESHOOTING Error codes and their meanings are listed on the following pages. The following instructions will help you avoid error conditions and correct them if they occur. IF THE PROGRAM FAILS, CHECK THAT: • The dishwasher is connected to the power supply. • There is no power failure. • The water supply is open. • The dishwasher door is properly closed. EN IF WATER REMAINS INSIDE THE DISHWASHER, CHECK THAT: • The drain hose is not kinked. • The drain siphon is not obstructed.

PARTS / SERVICE SERVICE DATA RECORD The serial number of the product is located on the rating label, which can be seen when the dishwasher door is opened. EN It is located on the right side of the door edge. Now is a good time to write this information in the space below provided. Keep your invoice for warranty validation.

OPÉRATION (SUITE) DEMI-CHARGE Convient lorsqu’il n’y a pas beaucoup de vaisselle à laver, cela économise de l’énergie et réduit la durée du programme. Placez la vaisselle dans les deux paniers, puis chargez le distributeur de détergent (voir «AJOUT DE DÉTERGENT», page 21) moins que la quantité normale pour une charge complète. Appuyez sur le bouton Demi Charge (élément 10 à la page 9) de sorte que le témoin Demi Charge s’allume (élément 11, page identique).

Le réglage peut être ajusté en fonction de la dureté de l’eau pour éviter les taches. La dureté est réglée à l’aide de la touche Select (sélection de programme).

OPÉRATION (SUITE) VÉRIFIEZ QUE LES ARTICLES À LAVER VONT AU LAVE-VAISSELLE Articles qui ne vont pas au lave-vaisselle: FR • Ustensiles, plats, casseroles ou poêles en bois: ceux-ci peuvent être endommagés par les températures de lavage élevées. • Articles fabriqués à la main: ils sont rarement adaptés au lavage au lave-vaisselle. Les températures de l’eau relativement élevées et les détergents utilisés peuvent les endommager.
OPÉRATION (SUITE) Le panier est équipé des accessoires suivants: Supports à assiettes pouvant être posés à plat lorsqu’ils ne sont pas utilisés (par exemple, pour accueillir des casseroles, des bols, etc.).
