Network setup
Some menus may not appear in the display depending on options or models. If so, it is not
applicable to your machine (see "Menu overview" on page 30).
• Press (Menu)> Network on the control panel.
Option Description
TCP/IP (IPv4)
Selects the appropriate protocol and configure parameters to use the
network environment.
There are many of parameters to be set. If you are not sure,
leave as is, or consult the network administrator.
TCP/IP (IPv6)
Selects this option to use the network environment through IPv6 (see
"IPv6 configuration" on page 55).
Ethernet Configure the network transmission speed and active port.
Wi-Fi Selects this option to use the Wi-Fi network.
Clear Settings Reverts the network settings to the default values. (Reboot required.)
Network Conf.
This list shows information on your machine’s network connection and
configuration.
Protocol Mgr.
You can activate or deactivate the following protocols.
• HTTP: You can set whether to use HP Embedded Web Server or not.
Turn the power off and on after you change this option.
• WINS: You can configure the WINS server. WINS(Windows Internet
Name Service) is used in the Windows operating system.
