Kawasaki Brute Force Radiator Relocation Kit

(For use with 1” Factory Coolant Lines)

WARNING:

Be advised that there are certain hazards of burning or scalding, that are

created by installing radiators with potentially boiling hot fluids in

locations other than those selected by the ATV manufacturer. By

relocating the radiator, the customer and installer indicate that they

understand and accept all risks and liability that are or may be created by

moving the vehicles radiator to a non standard location. The purchaser

and installer hereby release High Lifter and it officers and employees

from any and all potential responsibility that may arise from installation

of this radiator relocation kit. It is also the duty of the installer or

purchaser to inform the rider or next owners of these potential hazards.

Upon complet ion verify all hoses and wi res are not touching or rubbing

the plastic. Vibration WILL

rub a hol e in the lines very quickly. Zip-

tie all lines and hoses securely.

Installation Instructions 1. Remove front plastic from ATV. 2. Drain the stock radiator and dispose of used fluid according to your local regulations. Use care in disposal, antifreeze is toxic. 3. Remove the stock radiator and unplug the fan from the ATV. 4. Leave stock radiator hoses attached to the engine. 5. Bolt plastic back onto the ATV.

6. Preassemble the new radiator relocating kit. Assemble the frame using the ¼ x ¾ carriage bolts (4ea), ¼ lock nuts (4ea), and ¼ flat washers (4ea). 7. The bottom of the stock radiator has two rubber grommets that you will need to place in the holes at the base of the new face plate. They may still be attached to the frame and did not come out when you removed the radiator. 8. Attach the radiator to the kit. Insert the ¼ x 3 ½ carriage bolts through the top of the face plate.

9. Once the kit is assembled, place the kit on the front rack and temporarily mount it to the rack. Next mark the holes that need to be drilled to allow the hoses and wires for the fan to pass through the plastic and rack. Mark all holes and remove the radiator kit from the rack. 10. Drill the holes using 1 ¾” hole saw. 11. Insert the hoses through the holes, cut enough hose to connect the inlet and outlet hoses to the stock hoses you left connected to the ATV. 12.

13. Connect the hoses using the 1” 90° fitting and 1” straight fitting. The straight fitting connect to the hose on the left side of the ATV and the 90° fitting goes on the right side. NOTE: Left and right are determined from the seated position. 14. Connect the fittings using the clamps provided Left Side Photos: Right Side Photos: 15.

16. Next you will need to cut the connector on the back of the stock fan. You will extend the wires to allow the connector to reconnect under the plastic. 17. Use the blue and black wires provided in the kit. Use the butt connectors provided to extend the wires. Match the wires provided in the kit with the stock wires. 18. Wrap the wires in black tape, and run it through the ¼” wire loom. Connect the end back to the connector under the plastic, 19.

20. Wrap all hoses with the large wire loom and wrap together the overflow bottle lines and wires in the larger wire loom to protect it from cutting and vibration. 21. Connect the radiator to the rack using the U-bolts, ¼” washers and ¼” lock nuts provided in the kit. 22. Connect the hoses to the radiator using the clamps provided.

23. Connect the new ¼” overflow hose to the radiator and to the stock hose using the ¼” hose barb. We ran the hose along the top of the radiator. Use a zip tie to secure the hose. 24. Connect the overflow vent line to a location that will not allow the overflow to spray on the rider. We connected ours to the front of the rack. Use a zip tie to secure the hose. 25. Using the blue butt connecters connect the fan wires on the back of the fan to the new wires that you used to extend the fan connector. 26.
