Chapter 4 Temperature Measurement
The thermography (temperature measurement) funcon provides the real-me temperature of
the scene and display it on the le of your screen. The thermography funcon is turned on by
default.
Note
Your device will periodically perform a self-calibraon to opmize image quality and measurement
accur
acy. In this process the image will pause briey and you'll hear a "click" as a shuer moves in
front of the detector. The self-calibraon will be more frequent during start up or in very cold or
hot environments. This is a normal part of operaon to ensure opmum performance for your
device.
4.1 Set Thermography Parameters
You can set thermography parameters to improve the accuracy of temperature measurement.
St
eps
1. Go to Local Sengs → Thermogr
aphy Sengs .
2. Set the Thermography Range, and Emissivity, etc.
Thermography Range
Select the temperature measurement range. The device can detect the temperature and
switch thermography range automacally in Aut
o Switch mode.
Emissivity
Refer to Common Material Emissivity Reference to set the emissivity of your target.
Reecon Temperature
If an
y object (not the target) of high temperature is in the scene, and the target emissivity is
low, set the reecon temperature as the high temperature to correct the thermography
eect.
Distance
The dis
tance between the target and the device. You can customize the target distance or
select the target distance as Near, Middle, or Far.
Humidity
Set the
relave humidity of current environment.
Opcal Transmissivity
Set the opcal transmissivity of external opcal material (e.g.: germanium window) to
improve the temperature measuring accuracy.
