Chapter 9 Direcon Display
Equipped with a compass, the device is able to display its direcon on the live image and in the
captured images.
Note
The
funcon is supported by certain models.
Go to Loc
al Sengs → Device Sengs → Compass to enable the compass modules, then follow
the pop-up instrucons to calibrate the compass. See
Calibrate Compass f
or more informaon.
Aer successful calibraon, you can see the direcon displayed at lower right corner of the screen.
It is recommended to read the direcon when you lay the device horizontally.
To increase the direcon accuracy, you can set the magnec declinaon correcon. See
Magnec
Declinaon Correcon for
instrucons.
Note
The
direcon informaon is also aached in captured radiometric images. You can read the
direcon by HIKMICRO Analyzer.
9.1 Calibrate Compass
Compass calibraon is a must for correcon direcon display.
Y
ou need to calibrate the compass when you enable the funcon for the rst me or when the
compass status shows Not Calibrated.
Steps
1. Call the calibraon guide by the following ways.

When y
ou enable compass for the rst me, or the compass is magnecally interfered,
compass calibraon guide pops up.

Go to Local Sengs → De
vice Sengs → Compass to turn the funcon o and on again
when the status shows Not Calibrated.
2. Follow the screen instrucons to move and rotate the device.
