Configure PPPoE Settings
Purpose:
If you have no router but only a modem, you can use Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet
(PPPoE) function.
Steps:
1. Go to the. PPPoE settings interface:
Configuration > Network > Basic Settings > PPPoE

2. Check Enable PPPoE.
3. Input the User Name, Password, and Confirm password for PPPoE access.
The user name and password should be assigned by your ISP.
We highly recommend you create a strong password of your own choosing (using a minimum
of 8 characters, including upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special
characters) in order to increase the security of your product. And we recommend you reset
your password regularly, especially in the high security system, resetting the password
monthly or weekly can better protect your product.
4. Click .
A reboot is required for the settings to take effect.
Configure Port Settings
Purpose:
If there is a router and you want to access the device through Wide Area Network (WAN), you
need to forward the 3 ports for the device.
Steps:
1. Go to the Port settings interface:
Configuration > Network > Basic Settings > Port
