Chapter 3 Basic Operaon
You can perform the basic operaons aer an IP camera has been connected to the recorder.
Note
All the operaons from Chapter 3 to Chapter 12 are done via the web browser.
3.1 Manage IP Camera
Aer connecng IP camera(s) or mobile posioning system(s) to the device, if no image is
displayed on the live view interface, follow the instrucons below to manage IP camera(s) or
mobile
posioning system(s). If image can be displayed normally on the live view interface, ignore
this secon.
Note
The secon is only available for the device supporng IP cameras or mobile posioning systems.
3.1.1 Acvate IP Camera
Before adding an IP camera, acvate it by seng a password.
Steps
1. Go to Conguraon → System → Camera Management → IP Camera .
2. Select an
inacve IP camera.
Note
We highly recommend you to create a strong password of your own choosing (using a minimum of
8 characters, including at least three kinds of following categories: upper case leers, lower case
leers, numbers, and special characters) in order to increase the security of your product. And we
recommend you reset your password regularly, especially in the high security system,
reseng the
password monthly or weekly can
beer protect your product.

Click Acvate.
4. Check Use Admin Password, or enter Password and
conrm it.
5. Click OK.
3.1.2 Add IP Camera
You can add the acvated IP cameras.
Before You Start
Make sure the device and the camera to add are in the same network segment.
