Chapter 3 Basic Operaon
You can perform the basic operaons aer an IP camera has been connected to the recorder.
Note
All the operaons from Chapter 3 to Chapter 12 are done via the web browser.
3.1 Manage IP Camera
Aer connecng IP camera(s) or mobile posioning system(s) to the device, if no image is
displayed on the live view interface, follow the instrucons below to manage IP camera(s) or
mobile
posioning system(s). If image can be displayed normally on the live view interface, ignore
this secon.
Note
The secon is only available for the device supporng IP cameras or mobile posioning systems.
3.1.1 Acvate IP Camera
Before adding an IP camera, acvate it by seng a password.
Steps
1. Go to Conguraon → System → Camera Management → IP Camera .
2. Select an
inacve IP camera.
Note
We highly recommend you to create a strong password of your own choosing (using a minimum of
8 characters, including at least three kinds of following categories: upper case leers, lower case
leers, numbers, and special characters) in order to increase the security of your product. And we
recommend you reset your password regularly, especially in the high security system,
reseng the
password monthly or weekly can
beer protect your product.

Click Acvate.
4. Check Use Admin Password, or enter Password and
conrm it.
5. Click OK.
3.1.2 Add IP Camera
You can add the acvated IP cameras.
Before You Start
Make sure the device and the camera to add are in the same network segment.
