Upgrading by Local Backup Device 12.4.1
Connect your NVR to a local backup device containing the update firmware file. 1.
Go to Menu > Maintenance > Upgrade. 2.
Click the Local Upgrade tab to enter the local upgrade menu, as shown in Figure 12-8. 3.

Select the update file from the backup device. 4.
Click Upgrade to start upgrading. 5.
After the upgrading is complete, reboot the NVR to activate the new firmware. 6.
Upgrading by FTP 12.4.2
Purpose:
Ensure the network connection of the PC (running FTP server) and the device is valid and correct. Run the FTP
server on the PC and copy the firmware into the corresponding directory of your PC.
Refer to the FTP server user manual to set the FTP server on your PC and copy the firmware file into
the directory as required.

Click the FTP tab to enter the local upgrade interface, as shown in Figure 12-9. 2.
