1.8 WatchCare™ System Function Check
1. Make sure any WatchCare™ smart pads are at least 2 feet (61 cm)
from the bed, and then
plug the bed in.
2. At the indicator light, make sure the white light comes on solid. This
could take up to 2 minutes.
If the white light does not come on,
check the cable connections.
(For more information about the
indicator light, see “Indicator Light—Visual Identification” on page 8.)
3. Use the dry pad as follows to make sure the system operates correctly:
a. Install the sleep surface on the bed. Refer to the bed’s service
manual.
b. Put a dry pad on the bed in the correct location and orientation
(see “Prepare the System for Use” on page 9), and make sure you
hear a beep and the indicator light is solid green. This could take
up to 10 seconds.
NOTE:
If the indicator light does not operate as specified, see
“Troubleshooting” on page 18.
