If the saw blade strikes an object it may cause the power tool to kick back. Apply moderate pressure and select a suitable stroke rate when using the pipe-cutting adapter (accessory), especially when cutting large-diameter pipes. This will help to prevent the power tool overheating.

It is designed for cutting wood, wood-like materials, metals and plastics. Release the locking sleeve and allow it to move back to its original position. 5.5 Inserting the battery WARNING Electrical hazard! Risk of short circuiting. ▶ Before inserting the battery, check to ensure that the battery terminals and the contacts on the reciprocating saw are free from foreign objects.

Bring the forward edge of the AVR contact shoe into contact with the workpiece. Disengage the transport lock. Press the control switch. Press the forward edge of the contact shoe against the workpiece and begin the plunge action by slowly increasing the angle of attack. Note To prevent stalling, it is important that the product is running before the saw blade is brought into contact with the surface. 5.

Pull the rectangular plastic pin forward. Note It is located between the two AVR contact shoe guide pins. 4. 5. 6. 7. Pull the AVR contact shoe out. Press the rectangular plastic pin back into the original position. Grease the AVR contact shoe lightly and insert it fully in the guides. Check that the contact shoe has engaged.
6.2 Transport and storage of cordless tools Transport CAUTION Inadvertent starting during transport. Uncontrolled starting during transport may occur if the battery is fitted, thereby resulting in damage to the tool. ▶ ▶ ▶ ▶ ▶ Always remove the battery before transporting the tool. Remove the battery. Transport the tool and batteries individually packaged. Never transport batteries in bulk form (loose, unprotected). Check the tool and batteries for damage before use after long periods of transport.
