It is designed for medium-duty chiseling work on masonry and concrete.
4.1.1 Using extension cords WARNING A damaged supply cord presents a hazard! Do not touch the supply cord or extension cord if damaged while working. Disconnect the supply cord plug from the power outlet. ▶ Check the appliance’s supply cord at regular intervals and have it replaced by a qualified specialist if found to be damaged. • • • • Use only extension cords of a type approved for the application and with conductors of adequate gauge (cross section).
5.1.2 Connecting the detachable supply cord CAUTION Risk of injury! Due to leakage current as a result of dirty contacts. ▶ Connect the detachable electric connector to the electric tool only when it is clean and dry and when the supply cord is unplugged from the power outlet. 1. Push the keyed, detachable electric plug connector into the socket as far as it will go, until it is heard to engage. 2. Plug the supply cord into the power outlet. 5.1.

Do not operate the power tool if signs of damage are found or if parts malfunction.
Trouble or fault The chisel cannot be released from the chuck. Possible cause The chuck is not pulled back fully. Action to be taken ▶ The service indicator blinks. A fault has occurred in the tool. ▶ The service indicator lights. The carbon brushes are worn. ▶ The tool is faulty or servicing is due. ▶ 9 Pull the chuck back as far as it will go and remove the insert tool. Have the product repaired by Hilti Service. Have checked by a trained electrical specialist and replaced if necessary.
