Luminaire Mounting (for typical in-ground mounting)
Lamp Replacement
1. To prevent electrical shock, turn o transformer from
electrical supply before installation or service.
2. Using a Philips head screw driver, remove top screws and
xture top. Set these aside for use in reassembly.
3. Remove silicone gasket and glass lens. Clean the glass lens
and inspect the silicone gasket for any signs of wear.
4. Gently pull upward on lamp until it releases from the
socket. Discard lamp replace with new MR16 12 volt lamp.
5. Return the silicone gasket and glass lens. Making sure the
gasket is seated correctly.
6. Screw the xture top back on. Tighten the screws so that
equal pressure is put on the gasket. Example, for the top
with four screws, screw in the top screw then the bottom,
left then right screws.
SAFETY WARNING: TURN POWER SUPPLY OFF DURING
INSTALLATION. IF NEW WIRING IS REQUIRED, CONSULT A
QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN OR LOCAL AUTHORITY FOR
CODE REQUIREMENTS.
1. To prevent electrical shock, disconnect transformer from
electrical supply before installation or service.
2. Luminaire may be directly buried in the ground or for
concrete applications, a removable burial sleeve is
included.
3. In earth burial applications, the best way to extend xture
life is to use sand, gravel or any other material to facilitate
drainage.
4. Strip the two wire leads from the luminaire. Cut o the
green ground wire. Connect the main supply wires using
the provided silicone lled wire nuts or quick connectors
that are approved for outdoor use.
Note: Wire is to be protected by routing in close proximity to the
luminaire or tting or next to a building structure such as a
house or deck. Wiring should be buried a maximum of 6 inches
(15.2 cm) in order to connect to main supply wire. The main
supply wire must have its length cut o within 6 inches (15.2 cm)
from a building, structure, a luminaire or tting.
IMPORTANT OPERATION NOTE: This luminaire is designed
to be operated with Hinkley approved 12 volt AC systems.
