Chapter 6 Trigger Settings
Description About pre-triggering and the recording period (recording length)
Trigger events during the specified pre-trigger recording period are ignored.
To enable recognition of such triggers, set Trigger Priority to [On].

Difference between [Pre-Trig Wait] and [Trigger Wait]
When measurement is started, the specified pre-trigger length is recorded. This
period is indicated as the [Pre-Trig Wait].
After the specified pre-trigger length has been recorded, the period indicated as
[Trigger Wait] continues until a trigger occurs.

To open the screen: Press the SET key → Select with the SUB MENU keys →Trigger Settings screen

Operating Key Procedure

Select the setting method (% or div) for pre-triggering.
CURSOR
Move the cursor to the [Pre-Trigger] item.
F1 to F8
Select either choice.

Specify the numerical value.
CURSOR
Move the cursor to the [% Setting] or [DIV Set-
ting] item.
F1 to F8
Enter the numerical value.
Setting Range:
% Setting from –100 to 100%
DIV Setting from –(recording length) to (record-
ing length) divisions

Set as a percentage. (default setting)
DIV
Set as a number of divisions.
When using external sampling, set as a
number of samples.
Pre- and post-trigger recording times are
displayed in accordance with the setting
