Chapter 6 Trigger Settings
Two types of period triggering are available:
• In-Period Trigger [Peri-In]
By measuring the rising and falling period at a reference voltage, apply a trig-
ger when the input signal enters specified period limits.
• Out-of-Period Trigger [Peri-Out]
By measuring the rising and falling period at a reference voltage, apply a trig-
ger when the input signal exits specified period limits.

To open the screen: Press the SET key → Select with the SUB MENU keys →Trigger Settings screen

Operating Key Procedure

CURSOR
Move the highlight cursor to a trigger number to
be set.

Select the trigger type.
CURSOR
Move the cursor to the [Type] item.
F1 to F8
Select [Peri-In] or [Peri-Out].

Select a channel.
CURSOR
Move the cursor to the [Ch] item.
F1 to F8
Select a channel to which the trigger applies.

Specify the reference voltage.
CURSOR
Move the cursor to the [Level] item.
F1 to F8 or
SCROLL
Set the reference voltage at which to measure
the period.

Select the trigger slope.
CURSOR
Move the cursor to the [Slope] item.
F1 to F8
Select either choice.

Set the period range (upper and lower threshold values).
CURSOR
Move the cursor to the [Upper] or [Lower] item.
F1 to F8 or
SCROLL
Set the upper and lower threshold values.
↑ Measure the threshold period at the rising (↑

↓ Measure the threshold period at the falling (↓

trigger slope.
Apply a trigger when the input sig-
nal is outside of the range 0.9 to 1.1

About the Trigger Point
The trigger point occurs one sample after
the criterion is met. Timebase 2 sampling
data is also one sample later than that of
Timebase 1.
