E5918AD(EN).qx3 04.4.2 6:49 PM Page 12 PLAYING A DISC Basic Playback DVD VCD CD MP3 JPEG Getting started • Turn on the power of the TV, amplifier and any other components which are connected to the DVD player. • Make sure the TV and audio receiver (commercially available) are set to the correct channel. 1 Press y/I . • “P-ON” will appear briefly on the display panel. 2 Press OPEN/CLOSE to open disc loading tray. 3 Place the chosen disc on the tray, with the label facing up. 4 Press B.

NOTE: • Set “STILL MODE” to “FIELD” on the display menu if pictures in the pause mode are blurred. (Refer to page 17.) For example, “0:0_:_ _” appears in the Time Search display if the total time of the disc is less than 10 minutes. Program Playback (CD) CD Repeat • REPEAT is available only during playback. REPEAT TITLE / CHAPTER ALL CLEAR DVD To activate the repeat function, press REPEAT during playback.
E5918AD(EN).qx3 04.4.2 6:49 PM Page 15 PLAYING A DISC • The system can recognize up to 255 groups/ folders and up to 512 tracks/ files, and this applies even to the case where mixed MP3 and JPEG files are recorded. • Up to 8 hierarchies can be created. • If a JPEG file is selected, the image will be reproduced from the selected track and go to the next one in turn. A track is displayed for five seconds and then the next track is displayed.

You can change the camera angle when the ( ) mark appears on the screen. If the “ANGLE MARK” setting is “OFF” in the Display setting, the ( ) icon will not appear. (Refer to page 17.) 1 Press ANGLE during playback. • The selected angle will be displayed on the display bar at the top of the screen.
