No sound. If you are viewing images on a TV, is the TV volume
control set correctly? Adjust the TV volume.

normally in the disc
navigation screen.
BD, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW(VR mode) recorded on this
camcorder and edited on another device may not be
displayed normally in the disc navigation screen. In this
event, use “Update control info.”.
If too much time is required to display the disc navigation
screen, try the following.
1 Press DISC NAVIGATION, then press MENU.
2 Select “Disc setting” or “HDD setting” (for the HDD of
DZ-BD7HE) by pressing (/', then press the
confirmation button.
The “Update control info.” confirmation screen
appears.
3 Select “YES” by pressing &, then press the
confirmation button.
Update of control information will begin. While
“Updating...” is being displayed, a black screen may
appear (and time may be required).
(There are some BD/DVD which cannot be used even by
following the above procedures.)
The disc navigation
screen does not show
more than 3,999
stills from the
inserted card.
If the inserted card contains more than 3,999 still
pictures, only 3,999 stills can be shown in the disc
navigation screen. However, it is possible to play back
more than 3,999 pictures.
Photos on a card
cannot be played
back.
This camcorder can play back image data recorded onto
memory card using other digital cameras conforming to
DCF standards. However, depending on the recording
condition of the image data taken by other digital
cameras, blue thumbnails (see * of the illustration below)
appear, and playback of these images may not be
possible.
DCF (Design rule for Camera File system) is a unified
image file format for digital cameras. Image files
recorded using digital devices conforming to DCF can be
used in these devices interchangeably.
