FreeSpeak Edge | User Guide
You can charge the beltpack by using the beltpack charger. Place up to four beltpacks in the
charger bay. It takes about five hours to charge beltpack.
Note: You can also remove a battery from a beltpack and charge the battery in the charger. It takes
about three hours to charge a battery.
6.4.1 Beltpack batteries
The following specifications apply to the BAT80 batteries.
l Capacity (mA) - 4400mAh
l How long in beltpack - 12 hours
Note: If the beltpack loudspeaker is used, this figure is lower.
l Charge time:
l Cradle - 3.5 to 4 hours @ 25°C
l USB - 3.5 to 4 hours @ 25°C
l Battery life: how many cycles - 500 cycles
6.4.2 Powering on/off
The beltpack powers on and off using a long press on the power button.
Automatic power up
The beltpack powers up automatically with or without the battery when the USB is connected
or when the beltpack is inserted into the cradle. To power up the beltpack using the power
button, the USB and the cradle must be disconnected and a properly charged battery must be
inserted.
