SHARPENING: It’s best to sharpen the turn fins to a
razor sharp edge. This will eliminate drag and reduce
lift. Remember as a rule of thumb, if it touches the
water it needs to be sharp or have sharp edges
TRIM PLATES: Bending the trim plates up or down controls
the ride of the boat. The trim plates help control porpoising.
Porpoising is when the boat bounces up and down as it runs
over the water. Keep in mind bending the trim plates down
too far can have negative results, causing the boat to draw
too much power and possibly damage the electronics.
