IT FR DE EN 6 Battery Charging See the Battery Warning and Guidelines section and familiarize yourself thoroughly with it before continuing. Follow these steps to charge the Li-Po battery with the included charger. Remove the cover on the bottom of the charger and install four of the included AA batteries, noting proper polarity. Replace the cover after the AA batteries are installed. Slide the battery into the slot on the charger.
7 Mode 2 Throttle Function Rudder/Elevator Functions DE After fully charging the battery, install it in the airplane by placing it into the slot on the bottom of the fuselage with the plug facing toward the front of the airplane. Note: I f you are using additional batteries without hook and loop tape, we have included extra hook and loop tape pieces to allow you to use these batteries.
8 You must test the controls prior to the first flight to ensure none of the servos, linkages or parts were damaged during shipping and handling and the controls function in the correct directions. Mode 1 Elevator Function Rudder/Throttle Functions IT FR DE EN Control Test Turn the transmitter on first and lower the throttle stick completely. Then, plug the battery into the battery lead of the receiver unit.
9 If at any time during the test the controls respond in the opposite direction, reverse/change the direction of operation of the flight controls. To do this, consult the Reversing Flight Controls section. DE After reconfirming the flight control directions, all controls should function properly. EN When the elevator stick is moved backward, the elevator should move up. This will cause the nose of the ariplane to lift in flight.
IT FR DE EN 10 3. While pushing the stick in, power on the transmitter, release stick once the transmitter is powered on. The transmitter will beep and the LED on the face of the transmitter will pulse. 4. Once the transmitter stops beeping it will take a second or two to connect with the airplane.
11 IT Stock Control Throw Out of the box, your Champ should have the approximate control throws. In production, this can vary by approximately 2mm without any effect on flight performance. Reversing Flight Controls The transmitter included with the RTF Champ functions identically to the transmitter included with the PKZ Vapor, Ultra-Micro P-51 RTF, Ultra-Micro Cub, E-flite Blade® mCX, Tandem Rescue, and mSR (MLP4DSM).
12 EN Choosing a Flying Area DE When ready for your first flight, select a relatively open area, the size of a basketball court or larger, that is free of people and obstructions with calm wind (if flown outdoors). Once you have properly trimmed your airplane and become familiar with its handling and capabilities, you will be able to fly in other smaller, less open areas. Larger open areas are preferred for first flights.
13 1. Climb to an altitude of 6–12 feet with full throttle. 2. To achieve and maintain a level “cruising” altitude, reduce the power by moving the throttle stick down to approximately 50%. The throttle stick is proportional, so you can add or reduce throttle in small increments as needed to maintain altitude. 3. To reduce altitude, reduce throttle. 4. To increase altitude, increase throttle.
IT FR DE EN 14 gliding down and have some time to rest the battery, you may re-arm the motor by moving the throttle slider back to off then advancing it again. This only allows the motor to run briefly, and may allow you to better adjust your landing. Do not re-arm the motor more than once. Note: Your Champ should be landed on a smooth surface (such as concrete or wood) so the landing gear can work effectively. Replacing the Propeller You may need to replace the propeller in the event of a crash.
15 5. Carefully place fuselage parts back and re-tape with clear tape. 3. While holding the nylon nut, rotate the spur gear in a clockwise direction. The prop shaft will thread out of the nut. DE 2. Gently grasp the white nylon nut located at the back of the prop shaft to prevent it from turning. EN 4. Thread the new 130mm x 70mm prop and spinner clockwise onto the gearbox shaft. FR IT Replacing the Prop Shaft You may need to replace the prop shaft in the gearbox should it become damaged.
7. Place the nylon nut on the back of the prop shaft. Make sure the small brass washer is between the nylon nut and the gearbox. Spin the prop and spur gear counterclockwise. The nylon nut will thread onto the prop shaft. IT FR DE EN 16 8. While holding the nylon nut in place, gently turn the spur gear counterclockwise to ensure the nut is snug. Make sure not to over-tighten as this will cause binding in the gearbox and reduce performance. 9. Tape the fuselage back together with clear tape.
17 If you have any problems with setup or programming that cannot be fixed by the Troubleshooting Guide, please contact the appropriate Horizon Product Support office. LED on aircraft remains flashing and cannot be controlled by transmitter. Unplug and reconnect flight battery. Rebind the aircraft to the desired compatible transmitter. Aircraft will not “throttle up” but all other controls seem to function. Lower throttle trim and/or throttle stick to their lowest settings.

27 Nachdem Sie den Akku vollständig geladen haben setzen Sie nach vorne zeigend in den Schlitz unterhalb des Flugzeugs ein. Hinweis: F ür die Benutzung zusätzlicher Akkus ist extra Klettband beigefügt. DE Hinweis: Bleibt die LED beim Aufladen länger als 40 Minuten an und/oder 5 Sekunden nach dem Entfernen des Li-Po- Flugakkus, tauschen Sie die AA-Batterien im Ladegerät. Einsetzen des Flugakkus in das Flugzeug EN Batterien führt zu mehr Aufladungszyklen, als mit den inbegriffenen Akkus.

29 Wenn der Höhenruderstick nach hinten bewegt wird, sollte das Höhenruder nach oben gehen. Diese bewegt die Nase des Flugzeuges nach oben. Bitte überprüfen Sie vor dem ersten Flug die Flugsteuerung um sicherzugehen, dass bei dem Transport kein Servo oder Ansteuerung beschädigt worden ist. DE FR Bewegen Sie den Seitenruderstick nach links und rechts. Wir der Stick nach rechts gedrückt, sollte sich das Seitenruder ebenfalls nach rechts bewegen.
DE EN 30 Sollte bei diesem Test ein Ruder nicht in die beschriebene Richtungen laufen, ist es notwendig die Steuerfunktion am Sender umzudrehen (zu reversieren). Bitte folgen Sie hierzu den Anweisungen wie die Funktion zu reversieren ist. Sind alle Einstellungen vorgenommen, sollten die Kontrollen einwandfrei wie beschrieben laufen. IT FR Digitale Trimmungen Der HobbyZone 2,4 GHz DSM2/DSMX Sender besitzt digitale Trimmungen neben den Steuersticks.

33 Stellen Sie den Champ in Startposition. Wenn Sie draußen fliegen erfolgt der Start und die Landung immer gegen den Wind. Erhöhen Sie schrittweise das Gas von 1/2 bis 3/4 und halten mit dem Seitenruder die gedachte Startrichtung. Der Champ wird nach erreichen der Startgeschwindigkeit selbstständig abheben. Mit 3/4 Gas steigt das Flugzeug, bei ca 1/2 Gas fliegt es ohne sinken und steigen.
IT FR DE EN 34 Das Höhenruder Hinweis: L anden Sie den Champ auf einer glatten Fläche wie z.B. Asphalt oder Holz, dass das Fahrwerk vernünftig genutzt werden kann. Ihr Champ ist mit einem dritten Kanal für das Höhenruder ausgestattet. Das Ziehen am Stick bewegt das Ruder nach oben. Dieses Funktion ermöglicht kürzere Startstrecken und Landungen, bessere Steigraten und Kurven. Zu viel Höhenruder kann jedoch zu einem Strömungsabriss (Stall) führen.
35 Ersetzen der Propellerwelle DE Um die Propellerwelle zu wechseln gehen Sie bitte wie folgt vor: 1. Bitten Sie einen Erwachsenden das klare Klebeband auf der Seite des Flugzeuges und vor dem Leitwerk aufzuschneiden, so dass Sie den Rumpf aufklappen können. EN wie folgt vor: 1. 3. Drehen Sie die Welle im Uhrzeigersinn aus der Mutter. IT FR DE EN 36 4. Ziehen Sie die Welle aus dem Lager. Es könnte notwendig sein ein wenig Schaumstoff vom Rumpf zu entfernen, um die Welle mit Zahnrad aus dem Rumpf zu entnehmen. 5. Drehen Sie den Propeller von defekten Welle und schrauben ihn im Uhrzeigersinn auf die neue Welle. 6. Schieben Sie die Propellerwelle zurück in die Halterung. 7. Halten Sie die Nylon Mutter mit einer Spitzstange an das Ende der Propellerwelle.
37 Sollten Sie bei der Einstellung Probleme haben, die nicht durch diesen Leitfaden gelöst werden können, sehen Sie bitte auf Seite 39 nach und wenden sich an den technischen Service von Horizon Hobby. Bringen Sie den Gasstick und die Trimmung in die unterste mögliche Position. Propeller oder Propellerwelle ist gebrochen. Ersetzen Sie den Propeller mit Spinner (EFL9051) oder die Propellerwelle (HBZ4904) Flugzeit verringert sich signifikant. Laden Sie den Flugakku vollständig.

FR DE EN 44 Introduction Précautions et avertissements liés à la sécurité Nous vous félicitons pour l'achat du HobbyZone® Champ. Le Champ est un avion 3 voies 100% proportionnel utilisant des commandes pour les gaz, la gouverne de direction et la profondeur. Il vous faudra commencer par lire soigneusement le manuel d'utilisation, charger ensuite la batterie avant d'effectuer votre premier vol.
45 Les batteries Li-Po ne doivent pas être déchargées en dessous de 3 V. Dans le cas de la batterie Li-Po utilisée pour le Champ, il ne faut pas que la batterie passe en dessous de 3 V pendant le vol. L'unité de récepteur du Champ est équipée d'une coupure douce de tension basse (LVC) qui se produit lorsque la batterie atteint 3 V en fonctionnement.

49 FR Déplacez la manette de la gouverne de direction de gauche à droite pour vérifier la commande de lacet. La gouverne doit se déplacer vers la droite lorsque la manette est poussée vers la droite. Déplacez le manche de profondeur de l'émetteur d'arrière en avant pour vérifier la commande de profondeur. La gouverne doit se déplacer vers le bas lorsque la manette est poussée vers l'avant. En vol, cela aura pour effet de faire descendre le nez de l'avion.
50 IT FR DE EN Instructions pour l’affectation de l'émetteur Si, à quelque moment du test que ce soit, les commandes répondent dans la direction opposée au fonctionnement des commandes, suivez les instructions propres à votre émetteur pour inverser les commandes de vol. Pour ce faire, reportez-vous à la section Inversion des commandes de vol. Si vous deviez réaffecter votre émetteur à votre avion, suivez les étapes décrites ci-après. 1. Mettez la batterie dans l'avion et branchez-la, émetteur coupé.
51 Le récepteur, très léger, installé dans votre Champ est la combinaison d'une commande électronique de vitesse principale du moteur, des servos et d'un récepteur Spektrum compatible DSM2/DSMX. L'unité de récepteur est également équipée d'une DEL d'indication d'état. Avant chaque vol, allumez TOUJOURS l'émetteur en premier avant de connecter la batterie de vol au récepteur. Ne connectez jamais la batterie de vol au récepteur avant d'allumer l'émetteur.
IT FR DE EN 52 A noter: Si vous entrez en mode Affectation par erreur, la DEL du récepteur clignotera en permanence. Dans ce cas, débrancher et rebrancher la batterie de vol, l'émetteur étant resté allumé (dans les cas où l'affectation était bonne auparavant). Une fois l'avion placé dans une zone sûre et exempte d'obstacles et que vous êtes à bonne distance de l'hélice, vous pouvez mettre le moteur en route et augmenter la puissance progressivement.

Virages serrés Pour effectuer un virage serré, déplacez la manette dans la direction souhaitée et ajoutez un peu de profondeur (tirez la manette vers l'arrière). L'avion fera un virage incliné plus serré.
55 Remplacement de l'hélice Il se pourrait qu'il vous faille remplacer l'hélice en cas d'écrasement. DE Si vous ne baissez pas la manette et le trim des gaz à la position la plus basse possible en cas de crash, vous risquez d'endommager l'ESC du module de réception, qui devra alors être remplacé. A noter: Les dégâts dus à un crash ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.
4. Vissez la nouvelle hélice 130 mm x 70 mm et son cône dans le sens horaire sur l'arbre du réducteur. 2. Prenez doucement l'écrou blanc en nylon situé à l'arrière de l'arbre d'hélice pour l'empêcher de tourner. 5. Remettez soigneusement les parties du fuselage en place et refixez-les à l'aide de ruban adhésif transparent. 3. Tout en maintenant l'écrou en nylon, faites tourner la couronne dans le sens horaire. L'arbre d'hélice s'extraira de l'écrou.

Installare la batteria di volo Verifica del funzionamento della Trasmittente Una volta che la batteria è completamente carica, potete installarla sul modello posizionandola nell'apposito alloggiamento sul fondo della fusoliera, con l'etichetta rivolta verso la parte anteriore dell'aeroplano. Nota: N el caso desideriate utilizzare batterie addizionali, nella confezione troverete altro fascetta a strappo che vi permetterà di posizionarle correttamente.
67 Mode 1 Funzione dell'Elevatore Funzioni Timone/ Acceleratore Trim dell'Acceleratore IT Trim dell'Elevatore Trim del Timone Muovete lo stick dell’elevatore sulla trasmittente avanti e indietro per controllare il passo. Spingendo in avanti lo stick, l’elevatore dovrebbe andare verso il basso. In questo modo, il muso dell'aeromodello picchierà durante il volo. FR Per prima cosa, accendete la trasmittente e mettete leva e trim del gas al minimo.
Quando lo stick dell'elevatore viene spinto indietro, l'elevatore dovrebbe muoversi verso l'alto. In questo modo, il muso dell'aeromodello cabrerà durante il volo. Trim digitali FR IT Se durante questi test i comandi dovessero rispondere al contrario, invertite/ modificate la direzione delle operazioni dei comandi di volo. 69 La lista di controllo che segue riporta i passaggi necessari ad effettuare un corretto innesco e utilizzo dell’unità ricevete, insieme al controllo della corretta risposta del motore. • Lo stick del gas DEVE trovarsi al minimo regime possibile e, per molte trasmittenti, anche il trim del gas deve essere settato più vicino possibile al minimo per permettere l'innesco della ricevente.

Verificate che lo stick sia nella posizione più bassa possibile e che il trim sia posizionato al centro o più basso del centro. 73 Se non abbassate immediatamente lo stick del gas e del trim al minimo in caso di caduta, si possono verificare danni ai regolatori della ricevente, con la conseguente eventuale sostituzione della ricevente stessa Nota: I danni derivanti da caduta non sono coperti da garanzia. Se avete delle pinze emostatiche, stringete l'albero dell'elica tra lo spinner e la fusoliera e ruotate l'elica in senso antiorario per svitarla. 4. Avvitate l’elica e lo spinner nuovi da 130mm x 70mm in senso orario sull’albero della scatola del cambio. 2. Afferrate delicatamente il dado bianco con inserto in nylon posizionato nella parte posteriore dell’albero dell’elica per evitare che ruoti. 5. Riposizionate con attenzione le parti della fusoliera e sigillate nuovamente con nastro trasparente. 3. Mantenete fermo il dado e ruotate in senso orario l’ingranaggio cilindrico a denti dritti. Svitate l'albero dell'elica dal dado.

77 Questa garanzia non copre danni dovuti ad una installazione errata, ad un funzionamento errato, ad una manutenzione o un tentativo di riparazione non idonei a cura di soggetti diversi da Horizon. La restituzione del prodotto a cura dell’acquirente, o da un suo rappresentante, deve essere approvata per iscritto dalla Horizon.
