Care and Maintenance
GENERAL UPHOLSTERY CARE
1. Because dust and dirt cause fabric to wear faster, we recommend vacuuming regularly with an
upholstery attachment.
2. To minimize fading, avoid placing your upholstered furniture in direct sunlight. Dark fabrics and
natural fibers like cotton are most susceptible to fading.
3. An annual professional cleaning will keep your upholstered furniture looking its best.
WOOD FURNITURE CARE
1. We recommend dusting frequently with a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
2. Lift and place objects rather than dragging them across the furniture surface.
3. Use pads, cloth or felt to protect the furniture surface from plastic, rubber, hot dishes,
beverages, bookends, flowerpots and vases.
4. Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight, as sunlight causes fading.
5. Avoid placing furniture directly under windows.
METAL FURNITURE CARE
Most types of metal (with a few exceptions, such as copper) can be cleaned by using lukewarm water
with a touch of detergent. Using a scrub brush for easily accessible areas and smaller instruments, such
as an old toothbrush, for spots that are hard to reach, scrub the metal with the lukewarm water
solution. Once the entire surface area has been scrubbed, wash the solution off with cold water and dry
it with either a towel or a dry, soft cloth.
