DATA BACKUP
SysBackup
56 1.3 15.01.2007
5.2 SysBackup
The "SysBackup" programs allows the backup of changed
configuration settings and installed programs to be
created
restored (so that they are available after a cold start of the
system)
deleted
NOTES:
Backup data saved with SysBackup should only be restored
to the image under which they were created.
If the option for confirmation has been deactivated before
the backup is created your are not prompted for
confirmation after the booting process (see Fig.38).
SysBackup only stores and restores data but does not
delete them. This might be important in the following
scenario:
When you need a "cleaned" desktop you may delete the "My
Computer" and "Recycle bin" symbols with a
corresponding setting in "ExplorerConfig" as the symbols
are created on the desktop by the RegistryKey. All other
symbols on the desktop are created by "*.lnk" files in the
"\windows\desktop" directory. To delete them from the
desktop you need a corresponding batch file in the
"autostart" directory as these symbols are always
automatically stored on the desktop due to the booting
process after a cold start of the unit and are not deleted
when you restore a backup.
