5.2 SysBackup
The "SysBackup" programs allows the backup of changed
configuration settings and installed programs to be
• created
• restored (so that they are available after a cold start of the
system)
• deleted
NOTES:
⇒ Backup data saved with SysBackup should only be restored
to the image under which they were created.
⇒ If the option for confirmation has been deactivated before
the backup is created your are not prompted for
confirmation after the booting process (see Fig.38).
⇒ SysBackup only stores and restores data but does not
delete them. This might be important in the following
scenario:
When you need a "cleaned" desktop you may delete the "My
Computer" and "Recycle bin" symbols with a
corresponding setting in "ExplorerConfig" as the symbols
are created on the desktop by the RegistryKey. All other
symbols on the desktop are created by "*.lnk" files in the
"\windows\desktop" directory. To delete them from the
desktop you need a corresponding batch file in the
"autostart" directory as these symbols are always
automatically stored on the desktop due to the booting
process after a cold start of the unit and are not deleted
when you restore a backup.
