Assembly 1 2 Preparing the center panels Place the Left Center Panel (B7) and the Right Center Panel (C7) onto a flat surface. Insert the Wood Dowels (AA) into the pre-drilled holes as shown. Repeat steps for the Right Center Panel (C7). Aligning the center panels Slide together Left Center Panel (B7) into Bottom Base Panel (A7) aligning the dowels into the pre-drilled holes. Repeat this step for the Right Center Panel (C7).
Assembly (continued) 5 6 Securing the bottom base panel Insert Screws (FF7) into the pre-drilled holes in the Bottom Base Panel (A7). Secure using a Phillips screwdriver. Attaching the upper front panel Flip-up the base assembly and locate the Metal Plate (NN7) pre-attached in Upper Front Panel (D7). Rotate the Metal Plate (NN7) to span the joint and secure with a Screw (DD7). Repeat to secure the other side.
Assembly (continued) 8 9 Securing the side panels Align the Right Side Panel (F7) to the Bottom Base Panel (A7), as shown. Insert Cam Locks (MM7) into the pre-drilled holes and secure using a Phillips screwdriver. Repeat for the Left Side Panel (E7). Preparing the center panel Place the Center Panel (H7) on a flat surface. Align the Magnetic Catches (II7) with the pre-drilled holes in the bottom of Center Panel (H7).

Align the Center Panel (H7) to the base assembly, as shown. Insert Cam Locks (MM7) into the pre-drilled holes and secure using a Phillips screwdriver. Insert Cam Lock Screws (LL7) into the pre-drilled holes in the Top Assembly (G7) and secure with a Phillips screwdriver 18 Installing the top assembly Align the Top Assembly (G7) onto the base assembly as shown. Insert Cam Lock (MM7) into the pre-drilled holes and secure with a Philips screwdriver. LL7 G7 G7 MM7 19 Preparing the doors Place the Left Door (L), upside down, on a flat surface.
Assembly (continued) 20 Attaching the handles Remove the preassembled screws from the Knob with Screw (CC7), then attach the Knob with Screw (CC7) to the Left Door (L) and Right Door (M) with the screws. CC7 L M 21 Attaching the doors Align the Right Door (M) with the Right Side Panel (F7). Insert Screws (GG7) through the previously attached Door Hinges (EE7). Repeat to attach the Left Door (L).
Assembly (continued) 22 Installing the back panels Insert the Screws (DD7) through the pre-drilled holes in the Upper Back Panel (N) and the Side Back Panels (O). N DD7 O O 23 Attaching the adjustable shelves Insert the Shelf Pins (BB7) into the pre-drilled holes on the inside of the Left Side Panel (E7) and the Left Center Panel (B7). Rest the Adjustable Shelf (P) on the Shelf Pins (BB7). Repeat for the right side. B7 E7 P P BB7 15 HOMEDEPOT.
Assembly (continued) the fireplace insert into 24 Installing the mantel assembly Lift the Fireplace Insert (Q) carefully into the back of the unit and center in the fireplace insert opening. Do not drag the fireplace insert across the Base as it may scratch your unit. Q 25 Securing the fireplace insert Insert the Screw (GG7) through the Angle Bracket (HH7) into the pre-drilled hole in the Bottom Base Panel (A7).
Assembly (continued) 26 Installing the tipping restraint hardware When the Tipping Restraint Hardware (KK7) is properly installed, it can provide protection against unexpected tipping of the Unit due to small tremors, bumps or climbing. Your Unit comes with two Tipping Restraint Hardware (KK7). Each Tipping Restraint Hardware (KK7) includes one Unit Anchor, one Wall Anchor, one Anchor Tether, and four Anchor Screws. Use these to complete the following steps for a proper installation.

Operation (continued) 5 Replacing the remote control battery 6 Disposing of used batteries The battery may contain hazardous substances that could endanger the environment and human health. When the remote control stops operating or its range seems reduced, it is time to replace the battery with new ones. On the back end of the remote, press and slide the battery door open and remove the old battery. Insert 2 AAA batteries, checking that the + and sides of the battery match inside the battery compartment.

Unplug the fireplace, remove the back panel of the fireplace and check that the thermostat is plugged into the main circuit board. Troubleshooting (continued) PROBLEM Flame effect works but heater function does not and the emberbed flashes when the Heater button is pressed. ROOT CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION The heater is disabled. With the power on press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for 10 seconds. Once re-enabled the emberbed lights will flash multiple times. There are no batteries. Change the remote batteries. The signal is poor. Operate remote transmitter at a slow measured pace.
