Assembly 1 2 Preparing the front panels Place the Left Decorative Front Panel (B) on a flat surface. Insert Wood Dowels (AA) into pre-drilled holes. Using a Phillips screwdriver, insert Cam Lock Screws into pre-drilled holes. Repeat to prepare the Right Decorative Front Panel. Attaching the side panels Align the Left Side Panel (D) with the Left Decorative Front Panel (B) and push together.
Assembly (continued) 5 6 Preparing the side panels Place previously assembled unit upright. Insert Wood Dowels (AA) into the pre-drilled holes in the Side Panels (D,E). Preparing the decorative top panel Place the Decorative Top Panel (F) on a flat surface. Using the Phillips screwdriver, insert the Cam Lock Screws (BB) into the pre-drilled holes. Assembly (continued) 9 10 Preparing the decorative top panel Attaching the bottom surround Align the Bottom Surround (H) with the Bottom Base (A) and push together. To secure, insert Cam Locks (CC) into the pre-drilled holes. Tighten with the Phillips screwdriver. Insert Wood Dowels (AA) into the pre-drilled holes on the top of the Bottom Surround (H). Assembly (continued) 13 Attaching top surround 14 Securing the panels Align the Top Surround (J) with the Side Surrounds (I) and push down onto the previously installed Wood Dowels (AA). To secure, insert the Screws (EE) into the pre-drilled holes. Tighten with the Phillips screwdriver. Flip the Pre-attached Metal Plates (II) up, as shown below. Insert Screws (DD) into the pre-drilled holes. Tighten with the Phillips screwdriver.
Assembly (continued) 17 Preparing the top panel 18 Attaching the top panel Place the Top Panel (G) onto a flat surface. Insert Cam Lock Screws (BB) into the pre-drilled holes. Tighten with a Phillips screwdriver. Push the Top Panel (G) down on the previously assembled unit, as shown below. To secure, insert Cam Locks (CC) into the pre-drilled holes. Tighten with a Phillips screwdriver.
Assembly (continued) 20 Installing the fireplace insert into the mantel assembly Lift the Fireplace Insert (L) carefully into the back of the unit and center in the fireplace insert opening. Do not drag the fireplace insert across the Base as it may scratch your unit. L 21 Securing the fireplace insert Re-attach the Brackets (JJ) using a Phillips screwdriver. Tighten to secure. Assembly (continued) 22 Installing the tipping restraint hardware When the Tipping Restraint Hardware (GG) is properly installed, it can provide protection against unexpected tipping of the Unit due to small tremors, bumps or climbing. Your Unit comes with two Tipping Restraint Hardware (GG). Each Tipping Restraint Hardware (GG) includes one Unit Anchor, one Wall Anchor, one Anchor Tether, and four Anchor Screws. Use these to complete the following steps for a proper installation.
Operation Operation NOTE: The control panel can be accessed at the upper-right corner of the insert. 1 2 Powering the fireplace Push the Power button to supply power to all functions of the fireplace and put the insert in a standby mode. Push the Power button again to turn off all functions.
Operation (continued) 5 Replacing the remote control battery 6 Disposing of used batteries The battery may contain hazardous substances that could endanger the enviroment and human health. When the remote control stops operating or its range seems reduced, it is time to replace the battery with new ones. On the back end of the remote, press and slide the battery door open and remove the old battery. Insert 2 AAA batteries, checking that the + and sides of the battery match inside the battery compartment.
