If electrolyte vapors are inhaled, provide fresh air and seek medical attention if respiratory
irritation develops. Ventilate the contaminated area.
Skin contact:
If electrolyte leakage occurs and makes contact with skin, wash with plenty of water
immediately.
Eye contact:
If electrolyte comes into contact with eyes, wash with copious amounts of water for 15
minutes, and contact a physician.
Ingestion:

(a) Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media:
Use any class of extinguishing medium.
Unsuitable extinguishing media:
No information available.
(b) Special hazards arising from the chemical
Battery can be overheated by an external source or by internal shorting and develop metal hydroxide mist. In fire
situations fumes containing, zinc may evolved. Toxic vapor may release in case of fire.
(c) Special protective equipment and precautions for fire-fighters
Cool exterior of battery if exposed to fire to prevent rupture.
Fire fighters should be wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
6. Accidental release measures
(a) Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
