Assembly 1 Preparing the center shelf Locate the Center Shelf (B). Insert Wood Dowels (BB) into the pre-drilled holes along the edges of the Center Shelf (B). BB B 2 Preparing the top surround rail Locate the Top Surround Rail (C). Insert Wood Dowels (BB) into the pre-drilled holes in the edges of the Top Surround Rail (C) as shown. Insert Cam Lock Screws (CC) into the pre-drilled holes along the top of the Top Surround Rail (C). Tighten using a Phillips screwdriver.
Assembly (continued) 4 Preparing the center panels Locate the Left Partition (D) and Right Partition (E) and place on a flat surface. Insert Wood Dowels (BB) into the pre-drilled holes along the edges as shown. Insert Cam Lock Screws (CC) into the pre-drilled holes on both panels as shown and tighten using a Phillips screwdriver. Assembly (continued) 6 Attaching the front surround panels D Using the Left Surround Rail (F) and the Left Partition (D), align the previously installed wood dowels and cam lock screws into the pre-drilled holes. Secure by inserting Cam Lock Connectors (DD) into the pre-drilled holes as shown. Tighten using a Phillips screwdriver. Repeat the steps above with the Right Surround Rail (H) and Right Partition (E).
Assembly (continued) 9 Connecting the base panels Align the Base Left Side Rail (J) with the Base Back Rail (I) and push together. Secure with the Bolts (NN) using a Phillips screwdriver. Repeat to attach the Base Right Side Rail (K). NN K J I 10 Attaching the front base panel 11 Assembling the bottom Align the Front Base Rail (L) with the previously assembled base rails. Secure with Bolts (NN) using a Phillips screwdriver. Locate the Bottom Shelf (A).
Assembly (continued) 12 Attaching the base 13 Preparing the side panels Locate the Left Side Panel (M) and Right Side Panel (N) and place on a flat surface. Insert Wood Dowels (BB) into the pre-drilled holes as shown. Align the Bottom Shelf (A) with the center assembly. Insert Screws (EE) through the Bottom Shelf (A) and into the pre-drilled holes on the edges of the center assembly as shown. Securely tighten using a Phillips screwdriver.
Assembly (continued) 16 Connecting hinge support blocks P Locate the four Support Blocks (P). Align two Support Blocks (P) with the wood dowels at each end of the Left Side Panel (M) as shown. Secure the Support Blocks (P) to the Left Side Panel (M) using Screws (FF). Tighten with a Phillips screwdriver. Repeat for the Right Side Panel (N).
Assembly (continued) 19 Attaching the USB Port JJ Slide the USB output (KK) through the opening in the center shelf. Carefully secure the USB output (KK) in place using Screws (JJ) and a Phillips screwdriver. 20 Preparing the top panel for assembly Locate the Top Panel (G) and place onto a flat surface. Insert the Cam Lock Screws (CC) into the pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the Top Assembly (G). Tighten using a Phillips Screwdriver.
Assembly (continued) 21 Attaching the top panel DD Place the Top Panel (G) on top of the main assembly while aligning the previously installed cam lock screws and wood dowels. From underneath, insert Cam Lock Connectors (DD) into the pre-drilled holes. Tighten using a Phillips Screwdriver. Assembly (continued) 23 Attaching the back panels Locate the Back Panels (Q, R). Insert the Screws (TT) through the pre-drilled holes in the Upper Back Panel (R) and the Side Back Panels (Q). Tighten using a Phillips Screwdriver. R Q TT Q 24 Preparing the doors Locate the Euro Hinges (GG) and secure to the Cabinet Doors (S) using Screws (HH) as indicated. Repeat for both the upper and lower hinge.
Assembly (continued) 25 Attaching door handles 26 Attaching the doors Attach the previously installed Euro Hinges on the Cabinet Doors (S) onto the support blocks within the main assembly as shown. Secure by tightening the pre-attached screws on the hinges into the pre-drilled holes in the support blocks. Each Door Handle (MM) has pre-attached screws. Remove these screws and place handles over the pre-drilled holes in each Cabinet Door (S).
Assembly (continued) 28 Preparing the insert brackets Remove the Insert Mounting Brackets (QQ) located on the inside of the surround by unscrewing the mounting screws. QQ 29 Installing the fireplace insert into the mantel assembly Lift the Electric Fireplace Insert (U) carefully into the back of the unit and center in the fireplace insert opening. Do not drag the fireplace insert across the base as it may scratch your unit.
Assembly (continued) 30 Securing the fireplace insert Align the Insert Mounting Brackets (QQ) from step 28 and reattach with the mounting screws. Secure with a Phillips screwdriver. Assembly (continued) 31 Installing the tipping restraint hardware When the Tipping Restraint Hardware (PP) is properly installed, it can provide protection against unexpected tipping of the Unit due to small tremors, bumps or climbing. Each Tipping Restraint Hardware (PP) includes one Unit Anchor, one Wall Anchor, one Anchor Tether, and four Anchor Screws. Use these to complete the following steps for a proper installation. Locate a secure wall stud behind the unit closest to left side.
Operation Operation NOTE: The control panel can be accessed at the upper-right corner of the insert. 1 Powering the fireplace 2 Push the Power button to supply power to all functions of the fireplace and put the insert in a standby mode. Troubleshooting PROBLEM Fireplace stopped heating before reaching the desired temperature. ROOT CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION Fireplace has reached set temperature. Temperature around fireplace might be a few degrees higher than other area in the room. Set Fireplace to a higher temperature or always “on”. Display shows " " The thermostat sensor is broken or disconnected. Unplug the fireplace, remove the back panel of the fireplace and check that the thermostat is plugged into the main circuit board.
Troubleshooting (continued) PROBLEM Flame effect works but heater function does not and the emberbed flashes when the Heater button is pressed. ROOT CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION The heater is disabled. With the power on press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for 10 seconds. Once re-enabled the emberbed lights will flash multiple times. There are no batteries. Change the remote batteries. The signal is poor. Operate remote transmitter at a slow measured pace.
