Warranty We warrant the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a period of lifetime after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. Installation MOUNTING OPTIONS NOTE: You may need a longer downrod to maintain proper blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped ceiling. The maximum angle allowable is 23° away from horizontal. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, mount to outlet box marked “acceptable for fan support of 35 lbs. (15.9 Kg) or less” using the screws provided with the outlet box.
Assembly - Standard Ceiling Mount 1 2 Preparing for mounting WARNING: Make sure power is off before attempting installation. □ Loosen the two canopy screws (AA) located in the “L shaped” slots. □ Remove and save the two canopy screws (AA) in the round Routing the wires □ Route the wires exiting the top of the fan motor assembly (G) into the coupling cover (F). □ Make sure the slot openings are on top and route the wires through the canopy (C) and then through the ball and downrod (E) assembly.

(15.9Kg) or less” and use screws provided with the outlet box. □ Carefully lift the fan motor assembly (G) up to the mounting bracket (B). □ Seat the hanger ball (D) portion of the downrod assembly (E) in the mounting bracket socket.
Assembly - Standard Ceiling Mount (continued) 6 Making the electrical connections WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock, ensure the electricity is turned off at the circuit breaker or main fuse box before wiring. 1 WARNING: Check to see that all connections are tight, including the ground, and that no bare wire is visible at the wire nuts, except for the ground wire. B Follow the steps below to connect the fan to your house supply wires.
Assembly - Standard Ceiling Mount (continued) 7 8 Mounting the fan □ Attach the fan blades (A) to the fan motor assembly (G) by using the blade screws (BB) and fiber washers (CC). Tighten blade screws (BB) securely. WARNING: When using the standard ball/downrod mounting, the tab in the ring at the bottom of the mounting bracket must rest in the groove of the hanger ball. Failure to properly seat the tab in the groove could cause damage to the wiring. □ Repeat these steps for the remaining blades (A).

Failure to hang as shown may result in hook breaking, causing the fan to fall. The hook must pass from inside to the outside of the canopy.

Operation BLACK LIVE AC IN L WHITE NEUTRAL TO MOTOR L GROUND BLACK GREEN WHITE Disconnect the power and remove the existing wall plate and switch. Set all knobs on the dual slide wall-mounted control in the OFF position. Installation of this control requires that a three-conductor cable with ground wire be run between the control wall box and the ceiling fan outlet box. Make wire connections and secure with wire nuts supplied.
Care and Cleaning WARNING: Make sure the power is off before cleaning your fan. □ Because of the fan’s natural movement, some connections may become loose. Check the support connections, brackets, and blade □ □ □ □ attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling. Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years.
