Assembly 1 2 Assembling the Center Panel Assembling the Center Panel Locate the Left Front Panel (D), Right Front Panel (E), Center Decorative Panel (H), and set out face down on a scratch-free surface. Insert Wood Dowels (BB) into the holes in the Center Decorative Panel (H) and align with the holes in the Left Front Panel (D) and Right Front Panel (E). Push the Left Front Panel (D) and Right Front Panel (E) snug to the Center Decorative Panel (H).

Push the Center Front Panel (F) snug to the Left Front Panel (D) and Right Front Panel (E). Attaching the Center Front Panel Attach the Center Front Panel (F) to the completed assembly from Step 3, using Flat Head Screws (AA) through pre-drilled holes in the Center Front Panel (F).
Assembly (continued) 6 7 Attaching the Base Insert Wood Dowels (BB) into the pre-drilled holes in the Base (A). Attach the completed assembly from Step 5 to the Base (A), by inserting Bolts (DD) through the holes in the Plastic Connectors (EE and FF) and tighten. Attaching the Top Attach the Top (G) to the completed assembly from Step 6 by inserting Bolts (DD) through the holes in the Plastic Connectors (EE and FF).
Assembly (continued) 9 Installing the Fireplace Insert Lift the fireplace insert carefully into the back of the unit and center in the insert in the opening. Do not drag the insert across the Hearth/Base (A) as it may scratch your unit. NOTE: Please read all “electric fireplace insert” instructions prior to installing the electric insert in your completed fireplace mantel. Install the insert in your fireplace close to its final position.
Assembly (continued) 11 Attaching the L Corner Brace DD Place the Top Corner Extension (I) face down on a scratch-free surface. Attach the "L" Corner Brace (J) by inserting Bolts (DD) through the holes in the Plastic Connector (EE) and tighten. EE J I 12 Attaching the Top Corner Extension Insert Wood Dowels (BB) into the holes in the back of the Top (G). Move the completed assembly from step 11 into place at the back of the mantel.
Operation NOTE: The control panel can be accessed at the upper-right corner of the insert. When a function is changed from the control panel or remote control there will be a corresponding indicator (see Figure 1) on the upper-right of the projection screen. The indicator shows the function changed and the level selected by the control panel or remote control. When the function is turned off, the corresponding indicator will flash several times and then fade off. Fig .
Operation (continued) 7 Replacing the Remote Control Battery 8 Disposing of Used Batteries When the remote control stops operating or its range seems reduced, it is time to replace the batteries with new ones. On the back end of the remote, press and slide the battery door open and remove the old batteries. Insert 2 AAA batteries, checking that the + and - sides of the batteries match inside the battery compartment. Replace the battery compartment door.

Unplug the fireplace, remove the back panel of the fireplace and check that the thermostat is plugged into the main circuit board.
