Safety Information 1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity has been turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning. 2. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical Code “ANSI/NFPA 70-1999” and local electrical codes. Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician. 3. The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted and capable of reliably supporting a minimum of 35 (15.9 kg) lbs.
Warranty We warrant the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a period of lifetime after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. We also warrant that all other fan parts, excluding any glass or acrylic blades, to be free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of two years after the date of purchase by the original purchaser.

Installation MOUNTING OPTIONS NOTE: You may need a longer downrod to maintain proper blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped ceiling. The maximum angle allowable is 18° away from horizontal. If the canopy (C) touches the hanger ball/downrod assembly (D), then remove the decorative canopy bottom cover and turn the canopy (C) 180° before attaching the canopy (C) to the mounting bracket (A).
Assembly 1 2 Preparing the canopy Preparing the motor □ Remove the canopy ring (B) from the canopy (C). □ □ Remove the two non-slotted canopy mounting screws (BB) from the canopy (C), and loosen the slotted canopy mounting screws (BB) on the canopy (C). Remove the cotter pin (FF) and clevis pin (EE), and loosen the two collar setscrews (II) from the motor collar. □ Take out the setscrew (HH) located in the hanger ball (PP), lower the hanger ball (PP) and remove the cross pin (GG).
Assembly — Hanging the Fan 4 5 Installing the mounting bracket to the electrical box WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or other personal injury, mount the fan only to an outlet box or supporting system marked acceptable for fan support and use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box. □ Pass the 120-volt supply wires through the center hole in the mounting bracket (A).

L CAUTION: Do not use with a wall light dimmer switch. K If you feel you do not have enough electrical wiring knowledge or experience, have your fan installed by a licensed electrician.
Assembly — Hanging the Fan (continued) WARNING: Check to see that all connections are tight, including ground, and that no bare wire is visible at the wire nuts, except for the ground wire. CAUTION: Do not use with a wall light dimmer switch. □ If your outlet box (NN) has a ground wire (green or bare copper) connect it to the fan ground wires; otherwise connect the hanger ball/downrod assembly (D) ground wire to the mounting bracket (A).
Assembly — Hanging the Fan (continued) 9 Installing the canopy NN WARNING: Make sure the tab on the mounting bracket (A) properly sits in the groove in the hanger ball/downrod assembly (D) before attaching the canopy (C) to the mounting bracket (A) by turning the canopy (C) until it drops into place. BB BB D C WARNING: The locking slots of the canopy (C) are provided only as an aid to mounting.
Assembly — Installing the Glass Shade 10 Attaching the glass shade CAUTION: Before starting installation, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse at the fuse box. Turning power off using the fan switch is not sufficient to prevent electric shock. □ Raise the glass shade (J) up against the 14W LED light kit (TT) and secure it to the fan by turning the glass shade (J) clockwise until snug. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. TT J 13 HOMEDEPOT.
Disassembling Your Fan This fan comes with a pre-assembled rear guard (G), blade (H), and front guard (I) for your easy installation. Check that all screws are tight and securely in place. F If you need to disassemble the fan for any reason such as cleaning, follow these steps below: □ Loosen the front guard screws (LL) to disassemble the front guard (I) from the rear guard (G). □ Loosen the setscrew at the top of the blade head by using a screwdriver. □ Remove the blade (H) from the motor shaft (UU).
Operation REMOTE CONTROL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS □ Install the 12V MN21/A23 battery (JJ) (included) into the remote control (L). To prevent damage to the remote control (L), remove the battery if not used for long periods. □ Restore power to the ceiling fan and test for proper operation. L HI, MED, LOW buttons: set the fan speed. JJ OFF button: turns the fan off. button: turns the light on or off and also controls the brightness setting. Press and release this button to turn the light on or off.
Operation (continued) ADJUSTING THE TILT ANGLE □ VV Remove the decor handle (WW), rubber ring (XX), and fix screw (YY). There are five fix holes in the joint (VV); two are on the top, and three are on the bottom side. Select a desired angle, and insert the previously-removed fix screw (YY) to the desired fix hole and secure. Replace the rubber ring (XX) and decor handle (WW), and secure.
Care and Cleaning Do □ Do not Check the support connections, brackets, and blade attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. Because of the fan’s natural movement, some connections may become loose over time. It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling. □ Clean your fan periodically. Use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. The plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or tarnishing.
