GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most

clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken, or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal
injury.
Only the parts shown on the parts list are intended to be
repaired or replaced by the customer. All other parts should
be replaced at an Authorized Service Center.

LUBRICATING THE BLADE
See Figure 5.
For easier operation and longer blade life, lubricate blades

during use.
Stop the motor and allow blades to stop moving.
Install padlock (not included) or lock-out pin into switch
trigger hole. Keep both hands away from switch.
Lay the grass shear on a flat surface. Apply light weight
machine oil along the edge of the top blade.
Remove padlock or lock-out pin from switch trigger hole.
NOTE: Do not oil while the grass shear is running.
