Hinweise zur Anleitung 1 Hinweise zur Anleitung Lesen Sie diese Anleitung sorgfältig, bevor Sie Ihr Homematic IP Gerät in Betrieb nehmen. Bewahren Sie die Anleitung zum späteren Nachschlagen auf! Wenn Sie das Gerät anderen Personen zur Nutzung überlassen, übergeben Sie auch diese Anleitung. Benutzte Symbole: Achtung! Hier wird auf eine Gefahr hingewiesen. Hinweis. Dieser Abschnitt enthält zusätzliche wichtige Informationen! 2 Gefahrenhinweise Öffnen Sie das Gerät nicht.
Gefahrenhinweise Betreiben Sie das Gerät an einem witterungsgeschützten Standort. Setzen Sie es keinem Einfluss von Vibrationen und keinen mechanischen Belastungen aus. Das Gerät ist kein Spielzeug! Erlauben Sie Kindern nicht damit zu spielen. Lassen Sie das Verpackungsmaterial nicht achtlos liegen. Plastikfolien/ -tüten, Styroporteile etc. können für Kinder zu einem gefährlichen Spielzeug werden.
Funktion und Geräteübersicht 3 Funktion und Geräteübersicht Der Homematic IP Lichtsensor misst die Helligkeit (in Lux) im Außenbereich. Die Messwerte werden zyklisch an den Homematic IP Access Point sowie an die Homematic IP App übermittelt und können individuell ausgewertet werden. In Verbindung mit anderen Homematic IP Geräten bietet der Lichtsensor vielfältige Einsatzmöglichkeiten. So kann z. B. das Licht bei Dunkelheit eingeschaltet oder Rollläden bei starker Helligkeit heruntergefahren werden.
Allgemeine Systeminformationen 4 Allgemeine Systeminformationen Dieses Gerät ist Teil des Homematic IP Smart-HomeSystems und kommuniziert über das Homematic IP Funkprotokoll. Alle Geräte des Systems können komfortabel und individuell per Smartphone über die Homematic IP App konfiguriert werden. Alternativ haben Sie die Möglichkeit, Homematic IP Geräte über die Zentrale CCU2/CCU3 oder in Verbindung mit vielen Partnerlösungen zu betreiben.
Montage Achten Sie bei der Auswahl des Montageortes und beim Bohren in der Nähe vorhandener Schalter oder Steckdosen auf den Verlauf elektrischer Leitungen bzw. auf vorhandene Versorgungsleitungen. Der Montageort sollte witterungsgeschützt sein. 5.2 Wandmontage Für die Wandmontage mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben und Dübeln gehen Sie wie folgt vor: • Wählen Sie einen geeigneten Montageort aus (vgl. „5.1 Allgemeine Montagehinweise“ auf Seite 11). • Ziehen Sie die Abdeckkappe (A) ab (s. Abbildung 2).
Inbetriebnahme • • 6 Platzieren Sie den Lichtsensor und drehen Sie die Schrauben ein (s. Abbildung 4). Setzen Sie die Abdeckkappe (A) noch nicht wieder auf. Inbetriebnahme Bitte lesen Sie diesen Abschnitt erst vollständig, bevor Sie mit der Inbetriebnahme beginnen. Sie können das Gerät an den Access Point oder an die Zentrale CCU2/CCU3 anlernen.
Inbetriebnahme Zum Anlernen des Lichtsensors gehen Sie wie folgt vor: • Öffnen Sie die Homematic IP App auf Ihrem Smartphone. • Wählen Sie den Menüpunkt „Gerät anlernen“ aus. • Ziehen Sie ggf. die Abdeckkappe (A) ab (s. Abbildung 2). • Ziehen Sie den Isolierstreifen aus dem Batteriefach (B) des Lichtsensors heraus, um das Gerät zu aktivieren. Der Anlernmodus ist für 3 Minuten aktiv. Sie können den Anlernmodus manuell für weitere 3 Minuten starten, indem Sie die Systemtaste (C) kurz drücken (s.
Batterien wechseln Leuchtet die Geräte-LED (C) rot, versuchen Sie es erneut. • • 7 Wählen Sie in der App aus, in welcher Anwendung (z. B. Licht und/oder Wetter) Sie Ihr Gerät verwenden möchten. Ordnen Sie das Gerät in der App einem Raum zu und vergeben Sie einen Namen für das Gerät. Batterien wechseln Wird das Batteriesymbol in der App bzw. eine leere Batterie am Gerät angezeigt (s. „8.
Fehlerbehebung Nach dem Einlegen der Batterien führt der Lichtsensor zunächst einen Selbsttest für ca. 2 Sekunden durch. Danach erfolgt die Initialisierung. Den Abschluss bildet die Test-Anzeige: oranges und grünes Leuchten (s. „8.3 Fehlercodes und Blinkfolgen“ auf Seite 18). Vorsicht! Explosionsgefahr bei unsachgemäßem Austausch der Batterien. Ersatz nur durch denselben oder einen gleichwertigen Typ. Batterien dürfen niemals aufgeladen werden. Batterien nicht ins Feuer werfen.
Fehlerbehebung schen Sie in diesem Fall die leeren Batterien gegen zwei neue aus (s. „7 Batterien wechseln“ auf Seite 15). 8.2 Duty Cycle Der Duty Cycle beschreibt eine gesetzlich geregelte Begrenzung der Sendezeit von Geräten im 868 MHz-Bereich. Das Ziel dieser Regelung ist es, die Funktion aller im 868 MHz-Bereich arbeitenden Geräte zu gewährleisten. In dem von uns genutzten Frequenzbereich 868 MHz beträgt die maximale Sendezeit eines jeden Gerätes 1 % einer Stunde (also 36 Sekunden in einer Stunde).

Um die Werkseinstellungen des Lichtsensors wiederherzustellen, gehen Sie wie folgt vor: • Ziehen Sie die Abdeckkappe (A) ab (s. Abbildung 2) • Entnehmen Sie eine Batterie. • Legen Sie die Batterie entsprechend der Polaritätsmarkierungen wieder ein (s.
Wartung und Reinigung 10 Wartung und Reinigung Das Gerät ist für Sie bis auf einen eventuell erforderlichen Batteriewechsel wartungsfrei. Überlassen Sie eine Reparatur einer Fachkraft. Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem weichen, sauberen, trockenen und fusselfreien Tuch. Für die Entfernung von stärkeren Verschmutzungen kann das Tuch leicht mit lauwarmem Wasser angefeuchtet werden.

Hazard information The device must only be operated in locations where it is protected from the effects of weather. The device must be protected from the effects of vibrations and mechanical loads. The device is not a toy; do not allow children to play with it. Do not leave packaging material lying around. Plastic films/bags, pieces of polystyrene, etc. can be dangerous in the hands of a child.
Function and device overview 3 Function and device overview The Homematic IP Light Sensor measures brightness (in lux) and is suitable for outdoor areas. The measured values are transferred cyclically to the Homematic IP Access Point as well as to the Homematic IP app. The values can be individually analysed. In connection with other Homematic IP devices, the light sensor offers a large number of applications.
General system information 4 General system information This device is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and works with the Homematic IP radio protocol. All devices of the system can be configured comfortably and individually with the Homematic IP smartphone app. Alternatively, you can operate the Homematic IP devices via the Homematic Central Control Unit CCU2 or in connection with various partner solutions.
Mounting The mounting location should be protected from the effects of weather. 5.2 Wall mounting For the wall mounting with the supplied screws and plugs please proceed as follows: • Choose a site for installation (see “5.1 General notes on installation” on page 29). • Remove the cap (A) (see fig. 2). • Position the light sensor without cap (A) at the desired location site and mark the bore holes (E) with a pen (see fig. 3). • Now drill the bore holes.
Start-up 6 Start-up Please read this entire section before starting to use the device. You can connect the device either to the Access Point or to the Homematic Central Control Unit CCU2/CCU3. For detailed information about teach-in or configuration via a control unit, please refer to the Homematic IP User Guide, available for download in the download area of www.eQ-3.com.
Start-up compartment (B) of the light sensor to activate the device. Pairing mode remains activated for 3 minutes. You can manually start the teach-in mode for another 3 minutes by pressing the system button (C) shortly (see figure 5). • • • • Your device will automatically appear in the Homematic IP app. To confirm, please enter the last four digits of the device number (SGTIN) in your app or scan the QR code. Therefore, please see the sticker supplied or attached to the device.
Replacing batteries 7 Replacing batteries If the battery symbol is displayed via the app or an empty battery is indicated on the device (see sec. “8.3 Error codes and flashing sequences” on page 36), replace the used batteries by two new LR6/mignon/AA batteries. You must observe the correct battery polarity. To replace the batteries of the light sensor, please proceed as follows: • Remove the cap (A) (see fig. 2) and remove the empty batteries from the battery compartment (B). • Insert two new 1.
Troubleshooting Do not short-circuit batteries. Doing so will present a risk of explosion. Used batteries should not be disposed of with regular domestic waste! Instead, take them to your local battery disposal point. 8 Troubleshooting 8.1 Weak batteries Provided that the voltage value permits it, the light sensor will remain ready for operation also if the battery voltage is low.
Troubleshooting 8.2 Duty cycle The duty cycle is a legally regulated limit of the transmission time of devices in the 868 MHz range. The aim of this regulation is to safeguard the operation of all devices working in the 868 MHz range. In the 868 MHz frequency range we use, the maximum transmission time of any device is 1% of an hour (i.e. 36 seconds in an hour). Devices must cease transmission when they reach the 1% limit until this time restriction comes to an end.

Troubleshooting Short orange flashing (every 10 s) Teach-in mode Please enter the active (for 3 last four numbers minutes) of the device serial number to confirm (see “6 Start-up” on page 31). 6x long red flashing Device defective Please see your app for error message or contact your retailer. 1x orange and Test display 1 x green lighting (after inserting batteries) Once the test display has stopped, you can continue. Long and short orange flashing (alternating) Wait until the update is completed.
Restore factory settings 9 Restore factory settings The factory settings of the device can be restored. If you do this, you will lose all your settings. To restore the factory settings of the light sensor, please proceed as follows: • Remove the cap (A) (see fig. 2). • Remove a battery. • Insert the battery ensuring that the polarity is correct (see fig. 6) and press and hold down the system button (C) for 4 seconds at the same time, until the LED (C) will quickly start flashing orange (see figure 5).
Maintenance and cleaning 10 Maintenance and cleaning The device does not require you to carry out any maintenance other than replacing the battery when necessary. Enlist the help of an expert to carry out any repairs. Clean the device using a soft, lint-free cloth that is clean and dry. You may dampen the cloth a little with lukewarm water in order to remove more stubborn marks. Do not use any detergents containing solvents, as they could corrode the plastic housing and label.
General information about radio operation 11 General information about radio operation Radio transmission is performed on a non-exclusive transmission path, which means that there is a possibility of interference occurring. Interference can also be caused by switching operations, electrical motors or defective electrical devices. The range of transmission within buildings can differ greatly from that available in the open air.
