wise direction into the ceiling bracket until it clicks into place (see sec.
“Mounting the wireless smoke alarm” on page 47).
• After the devices are ready for operation they can be taught-in to one
another. Make sure you have both wireless smoke alarms ready. Dur-
ing teach-in, please make sure you maintain a distance of at least 1 m
between the devices to avoid interferences of the radio signal.
• To activate the alarm mode of the rst smoke alarm device press and
hold down the operating button until the device LED starts ashing
orange.

• Now activate the teach-in mode of the second wireless smoke alarm.
Press and hold down the operating button until the device LED starts
ashing orange.
The devices will now be taught-in to each other. During teach-in, the de-
vice LED still ashes orange. The device LED lights up green to indicate
that teaching-in was successful. The device LED lights up red to indicate
that teaching-in failed. Please note the information on page 41 repeat
the teach-in procedure.
To teach-in further wireless smoke alarms, activate the teach-in mode of
one wireless smoke alarm in your system rst and afterwards activate
the teach-in mode of the new wireless smoke alarm.
