Wireless smoke alarms that have been taught-in to a group
already cannot be taught-in to another group. Two groups cannot
be connected to each other. Teaching-in can not be performed
and will be indicated by red ashing of the LED. Therefore, a
factory reset has to be performed for all devices of a group (see
sec. “Restore factory settings” on page 54). Afterwards, the
wireless smoke alarms can be taught-in separately to the group
as described above.
After the wireless smoke alarms have been taught-in successfully, the
devices can be mounted (see sec. “Mounting the wireless smoke alarm”
on page 47).
6.1.2 Teaching-in to a Homematic Central Control Unit
Your device can be conveniently
• connected directly to other devices or
• used in central control unit programs
by using the Homematic software “WebUI”. New devices are taught-in to
the CCU via the Homematic “WebUI”.
A group of multiple taught-in smoke alarms remains unchanged if
the devices have been taught-in to a central control unit as well.
Additional smoke alarm can be taught-in to this group only via the
central control unit or you need to perform a factory reset for all
devices of the group (see sec. “7.6 Restore factory settings” on
page 54).
Each component can only be taught-in to one CCU.
If several Homematic Wireless Smoke Alarms are used in
connection with a Central Control Unit, all devices have to be
taught-in to the Central Control Unit before installation.
